Terraced terrain in a valley cut above the Ruhr. Tourists are accommodated on three meadow areas, pitches for campervans are partly gravelled. Dominated by permanent campers, a settlement with private weekend cottages by the river. Views of wooded heights. Railway line and motorway within earshot.

The campsite is clean and in a quiet location. The sanitary facilities are very modern and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pitches in the front area are spacious. The site is actually very good, the sanitary facilities very new and always clean. Tourist pitches in the front lawn area are sufficiently large, without water/sewage. Very Unpleasant Experience
I made a deposit of €85 to the Hohensyburg campsite in January 2020 for May 2020. Due to Corona, the visit could not take place and I wanted to have the deposit refunded in full at that time. Weekend Camping 2x
I went camping twice on the weekend in the meadow above. There you have basically free choice of spots and could keep your distance from larger groups, which, by the way, were no longer heard after 10 PM. Top spot. Mega friendly reception. Top sanitary facilities. Roll bread service, playground. Mega clean and tidy. The stars are well deserved. We won't even talk about the location between Hagen and Dortmund. We will come back.
