Campingplatz Hofbauer

A long weekend took us to Chiemsee. We found this great spot rather by chance - and were totally surprised at how uncomplicated the owner handles everything. Upon closer inspection, you can see the passionate management is top organized and carried out in a family atmosphere. Relaxed allocation of pitches - electricity (16A), water, waste water - everything on site. The pitch assigned to us was perfectly level and the view of the mountains was breathtakingly beautiful. There are also pitches where leveling is necessary, so ask beforehand / check the spot! The sanitary facilities were the best we have encountered at a campsite in decades! Here too, everything is perfect, whether it’s the toilet, shower, or kitchen... Hygienic, energy-efficient + comfort, just tip-top! Sorry to all the other campsite owners: Hofbauer has raised the bar incredibly high! We will come back!!

You are received very friendly and stand calmly with enough space at the parking spot. The place is well-maintained and clean and there is a very cozy inn. The Chiemsee is reachable by bike in 5 minutes.

We chose this place to see the Chiemsee and the surrounding area. However, the place is far too loud. The main road runs right past the place. This noise makes one sick. Relaxation is out of the question. Therefore, only recommended for a short time.

There is really nothing to complain about here! Beautifully located and well-arranged grounds with sufficiently large plots. Very friendly staff, very clean sanitary facilities. The restaurant on site offers a rich menu. Attentive service… This is what makes a vacation enjoyable! We would love to come back!

Nice large parking spaces with electricity, water/sewage at the site. Price/performance okay. Friendly reception! Sanitary facilities a bit outdated but clean. You can hear the federal road.

Beautiful campsite surrounded by birch trees. Small food and beverage shop 10 minutes away from the site. Uncomplicated check-in and check-out. Sanitary facilities are okay. Electricity, grey water at the site.

We stayed for 8 days with our caravan at the campsite and felt very comfortable there. However, there was a lot of turnover around us; the site is apparently often booked by passing travelers, as it is very cheap and located near the motorway. The sanitary facilities are somewhat dated, but consistently clean and tidy and always well maintained. There is nothing to complain about. The offered roll service was optimal since it is a bit of a distance to the baker in the town. The nearby road and railway line did not bother us. We will definitely come back next year!

We were two people with a dog at the campsite from 14.08.22 to 28.08.22 for a hiking holiday. There was nothing to complain about. The sanitary facilities were constantly cleaned. I went to the toilet once at 1:00 a.m. Even then, it was being cleaned. Any dirt can only be attributed to the campers. The operators were always very nice and helpful. The little pub is excellent. The breakfast is more than sufficient. In the evenings, everything goes very quickly and tastes great. Here too, there was nothing to complain about regarding friendliness. Even while grilling, when a downpour started, we were served quickly and kindly. A couple of friends who visited us unexpectedly were able to get a spot on short notice and without any problems. Due to the visit, we stayed longer. That was also made possible for us without any issues. We had to move to another spot, but that was also not a problem.
