Located in the heart of the Rureifel holiday region in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Hetzingen campsite in Brück is the ideal starting point for a variety-packed holiday. Nature lovers and active holidaymakers alike appreciate the wonderful location close to forests, rivers and lakes. Culture enthusiasts are drawn to the sights of Nideggen's old town. Families enjoy the entertainment for children, the playground and the recreation room as well as the entertainment programme. Thanks to the cooperation with the Brück Biological Station, guests have the opportunity to take part in a nature conservation project and set up insect hotels, for example. Dog owners are also very welcome at the Hetzingen campsite and enjoy the convenience of a dog shower. Cycling enthusiasts can use the campsite's bike and e-bike hire service to discover the natural beauty of the Rureifel region on bike tours. A well-developed network of paths awaits hikers. Another special feature of this campsite is its riverside location, which makes sporting activities such as canoeing, kayaking, wakeboarding and waterskiing possible. There is also an outdoor and indoor swimming pool just a few kilometres away.
Surrounded by extensive forests, sheltered stream valleys and impressive reservoirs, the Hetzingen campsite is located in a peaceful and scenic setting on the banks of the Rur. Its extensive grounds are divided into three parts by an access road and a railway line and are predominantly flat. Hedges, deciduous and coniferous trees frame the spacious plots with a view of Nideggen Castle. The medieval old town of Nideggen is 2 kilometres away and offers sights such as red sandstone and half-timbered houses, town gates and the only castle museum in the Rhineland. The historic town is also connected to cycle routes such as the moated castle route, the Kaiser route, the Mittelland route and the pilgrimage route. The Eifel National Park stretches 1.6 kilometres to the south. The Rur dam Schwammenauel is 13.2 kilometres away, where a boat trip on the Rursee is well worthwhile. The campsite has a bread roll service and a restaurant. There is a supermarket, a snack bar and a grocery shop within a radius of 1km.
