Its extensive grounds are divided into three parts by an access road and a railway line and are predominantly flat. Hedges, deciduous and coniferous trees frame the spacious plots with a view of Nideggen Castle. The medieval old town of Nideggen is 2 kilometres away and offers sights such as red sandstone and half-timbered houses, town gates and the only castle museum in the Rhineland. The historic town is also connected to cycle routes such as the moated castle route, the Kaiser route, the Mittelland route and the pilgrimage route. The Eifel National Park stretches 1.6 kilometres to the south. The Rur dam Schwammenauel is 13.2 kilometres away, where a boat trip on the Rursee is well worthwhile. The campsite has a bread roll service and a restaurant. There is a supermarket, a snack bar and a grocery shop within a radius of 1km.
