We were there over New Year's Eve with 2 dogs. Fireworks were set off in the surroundings (neighboring area) for only about 45 minutes. There is a firework ban at the campsite. Overall a quiet New Year's Eve for the four of us. That's why we rebooked immediately. The site also has nice large spaces for big caravans. The wifi at our spot was unfortunately very weak. Very nice staff who enjoy their work. We ate very well in the restaurant. The sanitary facilities were always very.

The historic town is also connected to cycle routes such as the moated castle route, the Kaiser route, the Mittelland route and the pilgrimage route. The Eifel National Park stretches 1.6 kilometres to the south. The Rur dam Schwammenauel is 13.2 kilometres away, where a boat trip on the Rursee is well worthwhile.
