Campingplatz Haumühle

The nicest dog camping site I've ever seen. Everything revolves around the little 4-legged friends here. Finally, a place where every dog owner is not just welcome but also wanted. We go there regularly, even with kids, really nice.

Worst spot in this corner. Unkempt, loud, RV parking area is gravel and hardly any grass, useless for tent trailers or tents. Had no other choice. Unfortunately, we also left early. There are several unkempt corners throughout the site, even behind the restaurant. I have never seen anything like this. Sanitary building is far away and the access is overgrown. Washing areas are primitive, amateurish, and carelessly set up.

The way to the parking spot had potholes up to 10 cm deep. Our pitches were also riddled with numerous holes. The sanitary facilities were damaged and not cleaned for days. The garbage containers stank. The dishwashing area was dirty and needed repairs. No peace, as a federal road runs right next to the campsite. Continuous barking from ill-mannered dogs, even at night. Dogs dirty the unoccupied pitches, the faeces are not always removed. After a notice at the reception, I was informed that we are at a dog camping site.......

Beautiful little campsite in magnificent scenery. The very, very kind, friendly owners Ute and Benno with their two Labradors and their team immediately make you feel welcome, so you feel wonderfully at home right away. The landscape with its many hiking trails and castles has a lot to offer for a lovely holiday. The restaurant on the site offers delicious food. The sanitary facilities were always well maintained during our stay. And dogs are very welcome here and cost nothing extra. Wi-Fi is also available for free. There is a roll service on the site. A supermarket is within walking distance. We can highly recommend this site and would very much like to come here again.

Location: away from everything in nature, dogs are allowed in the restaurant... unusual concept of self-service/order, food good, sanitary facilities clean Green area etc. poorly maintained, no visible upkeep, reception not really staffed, business concept very questionable... but such a very relaxed environment

Originally recommended as a secret tip from a colleague and non-camper for good food (with dog) at fair prices, we went on a Wednesday simply with our new furry friend to test the food and explore the campsite, etc. towards Simmertal. Intrigued by the ambiance, we asked if we could visit the place, which was immediately granted to us. Enthralled by the site and the staff, we decided to spend part of our upcoming vacation here. The CAMPSITE IS SUPER, the STAFF IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY, the FOOD IS SUPER, the SANITARY FACILITIES are CLEAN and MODERN. Even our shy dog Amy felt comfortable at this site. We really enjoyed our time there, but after almost 1 week, we returned home, with the intention of not having been here for the last time and happily coming back . . . Soon, as soon as possible . . .

A must for campers with four-legged friends! We even extended our stay by a few days. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful. Despite many dogs (over a holiday), it was surprisingly quiet. Food at the restaurant was very good. Every morning you can have fresh rolls delivered. Very nice and simple spot right by the creek! Great hiking trails with breathtaking views. We will return!!!

We were received very kindly and warmly. The place has everything you need. Sanitary facilities, a small shop, and a restaurant. The site is easily accessible. We did not find the road directly next to it disturbing. A simple little place to feel good.
