Campingplatz Hann. Münden

A very beautiful place on an island between Fulda and Werra. We were in July 25 for 4 days with our campervan at the campsite. From the simple online registration, to the very friendly staff, large pitches, clean and modern sanitary facilities - everything is perfect here. We used the 4 days for cycling tours on the Weser, Werra, and Fulda bike paths. This site is also an excellent base for canoeing trips. The 5-minute walk to the historic town center with shops and affordable restaurants is very appealing.

Sanitary facilities are quite new and clean. The disposal of blackwater is done directly into the ground of the greywater disposal. Not very pleasant. The water station for storing fresh water is right next to it. There is a sign saying “not for use with toilet cassettes” - but campers have used it anyway to flush the cassette. The flushing water for the toilet cassette is 2 meters further away. Not well resolved either. I wouldn't store fresh water there. We stayed 1 night at the parking space. 2 persons with a dog and electricity cost 37 euros. That's way too much for a parking space!! 50 meters further there is a parking space including disposal option for 15 euros per night, electricity 1 euro for 8 hours. For just one night, that would have been enough for us too.

Beautiful well-maintained site directly by the river, short walk to the very lovely old town. Friendly reception. Clean sanitary facilities.

Location very good, sanitary facilities: toilet room was new, older shower rooms (2) each with 2 showers and 2 washbasins, far too few for the possible parking spaces, washing-up room from the 70s, access up to 2.30 width only for experienced drivers. The dog area is 20 sqm of grass, fenced with a 1m high fence. Overall really no more than 2.9 stars.

First of all: As Bullicampers, we now belong to a minority, but this minority also wants to have a say. The picturesque site located on the outskirts of Hann Münden has the wonderful advantage of a size-restricted access via a small lift bridge. This promotes camping a bit like it used to be. There are still tents and vacationers who "camp outdoors (outside their large camper)" and who do not only care about the electricity connection and the satellite dishes (though they are also available). The accessible old town and the source of the Weser with its gnarled chestnut tree are always a delightful experience for us. The sanitary facilities are simple and well-maintained. The staff is very friendly and humorous.

Very good spot. Staff very friendly. Location directly in front of the spot. Sanitary facilities very clean. Pitch outside the campsite with electricity and hot showers for 2 persons for 31 euros. The access to the site via the drawbridge is 2.50 m and is permissible up to 3.5 tons, not as indicated in the ADAC with 2.40 m and 3 tons. Would come here again anytime.

Super location right next to the old town with many restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. Anytime again.

Great location, 2 minutes on foot to the old town. Very beautiful grounds. Sanitary facilities are functional, newly remodeled, meeting the expected minimum standard. Overall price is reasonable!
