Group of tents with loud music without understanding that it could disturb others. I first complained to the group, but was laughed at. Going to the reception did not help either. There I noticed that they obviously know each other. Some of the loud group were talking to the staff. From 8 PM onwards, the reception was no longer staffed and there was no night watchman either. From then on, it was anarchy. Conversations with our neighbors revealed that they also felt very disturbed. However, they just waited it out. If several people would complain, then they might have some success.

We booked this site for an overnight stay. The location is great, close to the highway (yes, you can hear it faintly in the distance, but I didn't find it disturbing), also the location near the Weser and the lakes is totally idyllic. Our children loved the playground, and we didn't test the restaurant, but it looked appealing, and the menu also read well. The bathing beach also looked very good. Rolls are only available on pre-order. Unfortunately, there is only one sanitary facility for the entire site. Various sinks were not working. The floors had lime deposits, in the morning when brushing teeth all!!! sinks were dirty (either toothpaste residues or drains full of hair, some dried), when showering the water turns on as soon as the card is inserted, so every time you have to pull out the card to stop the water. The little that was running out was quite minimal. Additionally, there was a hellish noise at 7 am while showering (a mix of a generator or jackhammer or something). And it really got bad when I went to the disposal for the chemical toilet, everything was filthy, dirty, I really didn't want to touch anything there!

The location is the biggest plus point, surrounded by several lakes and the Weser, just around the corner is the Porta Westfalica. The facilities are tidy but not good anymore for 2023. There is very little separation at the tourist sites, hardly any hedges, and if there are, then only at most between the rows, but not between the spots. At least there are also places directly by the water for tourists. Sanitary facilities are large but already a bit older, it was certainly top-notch ten or twenty years ago, today it's different. Conclusion: okay for a short stop, but not really for a longer stay. Three and a half stars!

The location of the site is actually quite nice, the pitch areas are also completely sufficient for an 8m caravan. But... the maintenance condition is only satisfactory. The hedges and bushes at the pitch would be trimmed and just left as they are, which isn't great with children when the thorns and twigs are lying around everywhere. The general cleanliness of the sanitary facilities leaves much to be desired, and I don’t just mean the dirt from daily use. Overall, there is a significant backlog in maintenance. Defective showers, missing locks, broken lamps. Buns are available at the site by pre-order, they are frozen goods but taste good, the price is a bit high, but that’s okay. There are only central power supplies, which may require up to 30 meters of cable. Value for money: satisfactory.

The site had beautiful large plots, a lot of greenery, and a nice beach. We would love to come back.

We spent three nights at the Großer Weserbogen campsite. The site is very spacious but still very quiet, not much was going on. In the "Southern Lake," you can swim well, and there is also a swimming island. Additionally, at the bathing beach, there is a nice new playground, which, however, was not quite finished when we were there. On the terrace of the restaurant/kiosk, you can enjoy pizza or ice cream with a beautiful view or order a drink from the beach bar. The sanitary facilities are very large, modern, and clean. We had a nice spot right by the shore of the lake – however, we had to pay a surcharge for this "premium spot" at the end, even though we never explicitly booked it. From the campsite, we took a trip to the Pott's Park, which is about a 20-minute drive away, and it is a nice little amusement park with little waiting time for the whole family.

A good site that changed ownership in 2020 and is very keen to reactivate the site. Actually a site used by permanent campers, although I have rarely seen such well-maintained plots. The tourist sites are partially by the lake. The lake has good bathing opportunities and space for many SUPs. Windsurfing is rather not possible. Currently, the use of the lake is limited to the campers, which is very pleasant. Let's see how it will be after Corona. Otherwise well maintained and the sanitary area is good. Playgrounds are new, restaurant from 2022. A nice gimmick for kids are cheaply available go-karts for rent. Definitely recommendable, very friendly reception staff.
