Campingplatz Großberghausen

The landscape is very beautiful, but the location of the camper pitches is very far from the lake and unfortunately poorly maintained. I have rarely encountered such dirty sanitary facilities, and this despite the fact that the site is used 99% by permanent campers. If you leave the site a minute too late, you will be stuck in traffic for two hours in front of a closed barrier. Then the midday rest applies. The focus here is on permanent campers; guests are not valued highly. You notice this quite quickly. In addition, only cash payment is accepted and a deposit is required. Once and never again. Even the most beautiful lake doesn’t help…

We are really not nitpicky and fussy, but this place is so filthy and the staff is truly unfriendly. I have rarely felt so uncomfortable, even though the place is more frequented by permanent campers, one does not treat campers like this. The location and the water sports opportunities are phenomenal, but unfortunately even the unrelated ant (excursion restaurant) is totally unkempt. Sooo sad :-(

A camping site characterized by long-term campers, nice operators, beautiful restaurant. We were there for one night with the motorhome and had a top spot right by the lake. The access road to the site is a bit narrow, and the lunch break is strictly observed (we were a little early and had to wait 15 minutes before we could enter the site). A bread roll service and a kiosk complete the offer. Certainly a paradise for water sports enthusiasts (sailing boats, canoes, stand-up paddles, diving). We will definitely come back again. A small disadvantage of our pitch was the distance to the sanitary building.
