We spent two weeks camping in a tent at Ecktannen campsite. The location is excellent: right by the Müritz National Park (ideal for hiking, jogging, and cycling) and very close to the beautiful town of Waren. The sanitary facilities are absolutely great and are constantly cleaned – nothing is missing. However, one must consider that the campsite is very large, and the paths to the water can be long depending on the pitch. The main reason for the deduction of points is the noise: Loud, bass-heavy beach and bistro parties significantly disturbed the night’s peace until after 10 p.m. Additionally, we found the volume of the neighbors very tiring. It was also incomprehensible why very loud large groups were situated in the middle of the campsite and not at the edges. When we inquired at the otherwise very friendly reception, we were simply told that the group comes every year. On a positive note, the wonderful children's craft program during the day remains a highlight.

We arrived on 29th December 2025 and departed on 1st January 2026. On the day of arrival, the parking lot was full, but it was handled very quickly, in an organized manner, and with utmost friendliness by the staff at the reception.
