Campingplatz Dausenau

The well-maintained campsite stands out due to its location along the Lahn between Bad Ems and Nassau, with shade-giving maple trees along the bank and on the site. We could swim freely in the Lahn and cool off in temperatures up to 35°. Rarely did a motorboat pass by. However, there was more traffic on the federal road opposite, but one can quickly get used to it. We also liked the clean sanitary facilities and showers in the washhouse. With an eBike, one can reach Obernhof to the east along the Lahntal cycling path, just behind Nassau, where the oldest railway line is located, and to the west through Bad Ems to the mouth of the Lahn into the Rhine. Those who wish can also cover the routes by canoe, with a rental service available directly at the site.

The spot directly on the Lahn with an attached canoe rental. Ideal for anglers and water sports enthusiasts. There are opportunities to dock with the boat everywhere, unfortunately swimming in the Lahn is not allowed. The surroundings invite you to hike and cycle. The place itself is very clean, the sanitary facilities are new, but unfortunately they were not heated in April, which made showering rather unpleasant. We found the street across very unpleasant, as it is constantly loud, even on holidays it was very loud due to bikers. The operators are nice and the place is family friendly.

Very nice place and great, very helpful operators - the manager even helps with maneuvering! Clean sanitary facilities/showers. Good roll service. Top location right on the Lahn! The restaurant "Pizzeria" on the campsite is also highly recommended. In short, "everything is top-notch."

Small square right by the Lahn. The square is lovingly maintained (with flower decorations). The federal highway on the opposite riverbank is not heavily trafficked. In the evenings and on weekends, it goes unnoticed. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
