We were there last year in July for a week. Shortly before, there was a change of operators. Sanitary facilities not new, but everything was very clean. Hot showers included, toilet paper always available. The operator was friendly and helpful. Nice public swimming pool accessible on foot. Well connected to hiking and cycling paths. Anytime again.

I need to share all the reviews from the year 2023 - we also experienced this in 2023 with a youth group at the campsite. Since May 2024, there is now a new site manager who has a completely different understanding of friendliness and customer service. We were thrilled that on the beautiful camping field there are now climbing and playground equipment, a nice little football field with goals, and a volleyball field with lovely sand. The sanitary facilities are set to be renovated in winter 2024 but were already clean and tidy during summer 2024 (including toilet paper). Another highlight was the gastronomy run by the site manager's sister. Super delicious pizzas or currywurst with fries - the kids were thrilled. We hope that this wonderful campsite with its great location and fantastic recreational opportunities continues just like this.

I hesitated for a long time to write this review. We have been using this place for about 20 years, 2 to 3 times a year as a stopover on our way home. The sanitary facilities have not been renewed the entire time. Okay, it has always been clean. The managing couple has always been very friendly and tried to make the best of it. After a change of operators a few years ago due to illness, the cleanliness noticeably declined. Last year there was another change of operator. The initial hope that things would get better was soon dashed. This April it was then extreme. All the reviews from this year are 100% accurate. Everything the operator has to say amounts to insults directed at the campers. You just have to look around the site. Everywhere there are notes with partially insulting and disrespectful statements. Of course, there are unpleasant characters, but this writing style is completely inappropriate. Regarding the prices: just charge 5 to 10€ more per night. If everything is clean and tidy, the campers will not be missing either.

Lovely and peacefully located campsite with great excursion and hiking opportunities. The lack of soap and toilet paper is something I know from many campsites and is not a quality feature for me. The price-quality ratio is very good in any case.

The place is located in the middle of Franconian Switzerland. Very green and really large pitches. Unfortunately, we were already massively disappointed on the day of arrival. The toilets have neither toilet paper nor soap for hand washing. No soap is an absolute no-go and unhygienic. The showers are very dated and cost extra. In the washroom, cobwebs hang from the ceiling. Everywhere there are signs. The cobweb in the washroom has actually been removed. It now hangs on the squeegee and stands in the corner. It seems that there is a lack of drive and proper understanding to run a business successfully here. As a transit place, it is completely fine. Not recommended for an annual vacation at all right now. A lot needs to change here.

The place is very idyllic, situated between meadows and forests in Franconian Switzerland. We were only there for one night while passing through. The place itself is very nicely laid out and very quiet. There is electricity and water on site. But the sanitary facilities were extremely dirty and gave a very unkempt impression. There was no toilet paper, paper towels, or soap. The floors were dirty everywhere. We opted not to shower. Very unhygienic. Such a shame for the really beautiful place .....

We have been coming here for 5 years now and have always been excited about the many opportunities for hikers and climbers in the area, and the campsite has always been clean. But this year everything was different. The toilets are very far away since the sanitation wagon left. Furthermore, this year the sanitary facilities were very dirty, there was neither toilet paper nor soap and the shower water was already freezing cold by 9:30 PM, and the shower that costs 1€ swallowed the euro the first time without any water coming out. On top of that, a staff member (owner?) raced around the site loudly and quickly with his quad to cover the route that guests walk to the toilets. And this while children are playing on the grass! We have always liked coming here, but this time it was the last time if it doesn’t change again!

The campsite is beautifully situated in nature and has more than enough recreational opportunities in the nearby area, also very suitable for a stopover on the A9. However, unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are not clean. The showers are completely calcified on the metal surface, the paint is peeling off the cabins everywhere, and they also cost 1 Euro. No towels, no soap, no toilet paper! No cleaning staff or signs of cleaning to be found. A toilet that was filthy in the morning was still in the same terrible condition by the evening. It would actually be a quiet place if it weren't for an employee who seems to have a lot of fun driving the quad and makes numerous loud runs at excessive speeds, despite the presence of guests and playing children. CEE connections are partially defective. In the laundry room, there was a full garbage bag all weekend long and numerous food packaging scattered around the room. There would be more to mention, but I think my disappointment is clear enough. What a shame, it could be a really beautiful place if it were maintained.
