Hotel, Restaurant & Camping Bauer-Keller

This is actually not a campsite, but a parking lot along the highway where you must line up. The difference from a regular parking lot at a rest area is that you have to pay for the spot, there is a restaurant on site, and you can shower (very clean sanitation) for a fee of €0.50, while wifi is free. Washing dishes is not possible. Only in the summer! You have to adhere to the parking rules. So everyone is parked 'tight' one behind the other. Because the location is right next to the highway, there is noise disturbance. The place is presented as dog-friendly, but it is not. Even in the Biergarten, the dog is required to stay under the table. The restaurant is fine with good, traditional cuisine. Additionally, there is a hotel on site that looks well-maintained. The payment system is unclear. We ultimately settled our bill in the restaurant. Cash payment is mandatory.

We used the place as a stopover heading south. At first, upon arrival, I was skeptical about the proximity to the highway and in general. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. Friendly reception. Nice flat pitches (16€) with optional electricity (5€). For that, I had top sanitary facilities available and a great restaurant with very friendly staff and an appealing menu. The regional fish was, for example, caught fresh from the "aquarium". I will definitely stop here again. PS: For all shopping queens, there were also a few outlets just a short walk away.

Top place on the way south 👌👌 Everything straightforward, price-performance great. Sanitary facilities very clean and modern. Restaurant of the finest with a manageable menu. There is nothing to complain about here. The nearby highway is wanted by everyone, so it's okay.

A very close overnight option to the highway. Fine for a night. The sanitary building is clean. Unfortunately, there are no plots, and the sanitary building is too small for the number of parking spaces. Mornings and evenings are associated with waiting times. Also, just one place to wash dishes is too little. The food in the restaurant is expensive.

On the way south (of course back too :-)) a great overnight spot. Small, very well-maintained sanitary facility and uncomplicated arrival and departure. However, the best part is the restaurant for lovers of Bavarian cuisine.

Directly on the highway. Good, inexpensive food. Uncomplicated organization and friendly service. In winter, dishwashing area and toilet disposal are not available.

Good overnight accommodation on the way to the south or back. As there is no reservation option, it is best to arrive there by 4-5 PM during the high season, otherwise, it may happen that the place is full.

Good: small but clean sanitary facilities. Toilets are free. Drinking water is free. Gray water and chemical toilet disposal is free. Despite being close to the highway, it is relatively quiet. Bad: showers with coin-operated machines, dishwashing with coin-operated machines, parking spaces mostly very slanted, we were unable to level the RV and thus sleep straight. Electricity (as everywhere) is charged, but really expensive, since you might only stay a few hours. Overall also too expensive, a rest area is a good alternative. For a few hours of electricity and really just sleeping, this place is not worth the cost.
