Campingplatz am Tor zum Hainich

Very beautiful open space with a view over the slightly hilly landscape. The location right on the eastern edge of the Hainich National Park offers many opportunities for hiking, cycling, and relaxing. Longer excursions, for example to the state capital Erfurt or to Weimar, are also possible. Very child-friendly place with a large central playground for young and old. During the week, a local bakery supplies the area with delicious bread, rolls, or other baked goods. Particularly noteworthy is the mobile snack stand, which offers breakfast and traditional dishes from the region on weekends. We will definitely come back 😀

Everything was at least good, very good, and the washrooms were always clean. The site is well-maintained and structured, yet it is very laid-back. The very friendly site management deserves special mention.

Calm, clean, and dignified. Just as a camper would like it. See the description from the ADAC. That's exactly how the site is. Very accommodating site manager. Drive up the first street on the left and choose a spot. That's what we did. Everything really fits. Thuringia and the nature park are worth a visit.🤖

Friendly staff. Modern clean sanitation facilities and a very well-kept place with a few young trees. Many level parking spaces. Good for exploring the national park by bike or on foot. Bike tour to Bad Langensalza is also easily possible via bike paths. A good place to enjoy peace and quiet.

Super place. Everything is very well maintained and clean. Nice operating family. We can only recommend it further. The surrounding area is also wonderful for hiking and cycling.

The campsite is very beautiful, located on the edge of the Hainich. It has spacious, terraced pitches, each with electricity connection and mostly with water connection. The site features many lovingly planted flowerbeds and borders, partly decorated with small fountains and water features. Unfortunately, we couldn't see this in bloom yet, but it will surely look great. Centrally located on the campsite is a large playground, so the little ones can be seen from everywhere. There is also a small pool with an open stream. The sanitary facilities are modern and sufficiently sized. They were always very clean and tidy. For breakfast, there was a bread roll service. Perhaps a small shop for the most necessary things of daily needs would be desirable, possibly this was not yet active and will be available in the high season.
