Campingplatz am Leppinsee

A beautiful little corner of the earth nestled among pine and mixed forests located by the beautiful Leppinsee. A place to relax or to strike up a conversation. A small kiosk offers everything the heart desires from morning bread delivery, homemade cakes on the weekends, light lunch snacks to cocktails. Great nature experiences are still possible here, such as the water lily belts on the lake route from Mirow to Leppinsee, observing otter families, kingfishers, fish eagles, cranes, and grass snakes. Not to forget the cuckoo calls and much more.

For us, a very beautiful spot embedded in nature with everything you need. Campsites for motorhomes, caravans, and tents with enough privacy if you wish. Located directly at Lake Leppin, also ideal for water sports enthusiasts. Aside from the many mosquitoes, a very nice spot!

Despite the email booking confirmation and payment confirmation, I am standing in front of a closed barrier... Called the number of the groundskeeper and received a rude response... "I am already off duty and there was no booking open.... I will come to the barrier at some point, until then you will have to wait.

The site is located in the midst of a forest and right by the lake. There is a sanitary building, which also contains a washing machine, 2 cooking areas, and some sinks. There is one children’s washbasin each for the ladies and gentlemen. We missed a children’s bath to allow our youngest to shower more comfortably. The building was closed 3 times a day for about an hour for cleaning and disinfecting. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated. When showers were taken simultaneously, the water was not always properly warm. The playground has 2 swings, a small sandbox, and 2 seesaws, one of which was broken. Overall, the playground was not very appealing. Unfortunately, the kiosk by the lake was only open in the mornings and evenings. That was very unfortunate. We really liked the location in the forest. It was very quiet at the site after 10 PM. You can cycle to the town of Mirow (about 10 km) via a bike path. On 2 evenings a week, there was some entertainment: a small juggling show and some music. One morning a nice crafting activity for children was offered.

You can wonderfully enjoy the Leppinsee, naturally left in the forest by the lake, a very friendly and dedicated caretaker, we will come back!!!!
