You can expect a multi-tiered campsite surrounded by beautiful nature. For holidaymakers, there is a flat, separate pitch area on a green meadow enclosed by trees and hedges. The site also offers a separate tent meadow. From everywhere, you will enjoy a great view of wooded hills and meadows.

Q: What swimming options does the area around the campsite offer?

Water lovers have great options here! Just 200 metres from the campsite, you will find a lovely outdoor pool and a great swimming spot directly by the lake. If the weather doesn't play along, you can also reach a cosy indoor pool for relaxing hours after about an 8-kilometre drive.

Q: Are there any special features regarding sanitary facilities or waste disposal?

The sanitary facilities are simple but very clean and well-maintained. For families, the site offers a practical baby changing room and a dedicated children's sanitary area. An important tip: remember to bring 0.50-euro coins for the showers. Grey water disposal is available, but it is a bit tight for very large motorhomes.

Q: What are the prices and additional costs at the campsite?

As we currently do not have exact price lists, it is best to enter your travel dates directly to check the latest prices. Good to know for your travel budget: Electricity is provided at the pitches with 16 amps. Dogs are allowed on the entire site. Wi-Fi is available on part of the campsite and at reception. You will need 0.50-euro coins for the showers.

Q: Is Campingplatz Am Hauenstein suitable for transit or winter holidays?

Absolutely! Thanks to its location close to the motorway, the site is excellent for a relaxing overnight stopover with a car and caravan. But a visit is also worthwhile in winter, as the site is geared towards winter sports enthusiasts. A cross-country ski trail and a ski lift are each just about 2 kilometres away.

Q: What about catering and excursions in the surrounding area?

Directly on the site, you have a practical kiosk and a snack bar 200 metres away. Restaurants and supermarkets are located in Velburg, 1 kilometre away. For excursions, we recommend the nearby König-Otto dripstone cave (approx. 3 km away) or day trips to Nuremberg, Regensburg, and Neumarkt.

Mostly flat, well-maintained facility and very quiet. Simple but very clean - totally fine for us. Great for hiking or also for an overnight stay. Very good starting point for excursions to Nuremberg, Regensburg, and Neumarkt. Thanks to the Schmidt family for the wonderful time at the site.
