Campingpark Dockweiler Mühle

A very beautiful place. Very quiet. The area is beautifully terraced. Several ponds invite you to relax. You can wonderfully observe the ducks, which are raising their young at this time. It is especially noteworthy that you are received very nicely at the reception. Everything important is shown and explained to you. It is also mentioned that a lot of landscaping needs to be done since the previous operator unfortunately left the place in very poor condition. However, the new owner is very diligent and tries to limit the noise caused by this to a necessary minimum. You can still relax very well. The sanitary facilities are very clean. And as we observed, they were cleaned multiple times a day. Overall, all the staff were really very nice and helpful. Even the permanent campers we encountered were all very nice.

Hello dear campers, and those who want to become one. We would like to report on our Whitsun weekend at the Camping Park Dockweiler Mühle. We were warmly welcomed, and our little dog "Wolke" received a treat and was also greeted very kindly. The pitch "Caravan" was well secured and left no wishes unfulfilled. Our first trip was in the direction of the sanitary facilities. On the way there, we were approached by an unkempt bearded guy who asked what we were doing here. After I asked him who he was, I received a crude answer, the future caretaker. Without further addressing this somewhat awkward situation, we entered the sanitary building. Here, some renovations had begun, but to my surprise, they were never completed. It will definitely be finished sometime soon 😅 It was clean, and there were no complaints about cleanliness. However, the rest... In my block, I will share more.

Upon spontaneous arrival around 5:00 PM, the reception was unattended (only from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM) and there was no response to the bell. We then found an online booking option and after entering the license plate number during the online booking, the barrier opened automatically. It would have been helpful to have a sign at the reception indicating that this is how it works. The site itself is very clear and well-maintained. The sanitary facilities have mostly been modernized, with some areas still under construction. There is a nice, large accessible bathroom. Overall clean and well-sized for the size of the site.

By chance, we came to this very beautifully located campsite and stayed for 3 days. Starting from the reception, super friendly and helpful, the site was shown to us where we would like to stay. Then the sanitary facilities, very clean and tidy. There is a roll service that we also used. From there, you can take very nice walks and also go on bike tours. Dog friendly, we had our two Moppets with us. We will come back, promised. Best wishes from Remscheid.

We were there for 9 days and felt very comfortable. The team around the boss is super friendly and very guest-oriented. A small, but important point for some, is the still incomplete sanitary facilities. There is still room for improvement. Otherwise, the facility is located in a super beautiful place for motorcyclists, cyclists, hikers, and loungers like us 😉. There are many long-term campers and a nice playground for children. Owners of furry friends 🐕‍🦺 get along well with their four-legged companions on the site and in the surrounding area. The attached restaurant was closed, but the boss has good pizzas on offer. We recommend the spot not only for a stopover on the way to the south.

By now we have been here for the third time and we gladly come again. The owners are super friendly and always there for the campers. The sanitary facilities have been partly renewed. The pitches are terraced with views of the lakes, some with water & electricity or just electricity. We have also never been welcomed so warmly by the permanent campers as here.

In search of a new spot for our caravan, we found a beautiful permanent plot here at the campsite in Dockweilermühle. We feel very comfortable at the beautifully situated park-like campsite. The owners (since January 2021) are very friendly, helpful, and have new projects to make the place even more beautiful and appealing. A small kiosk and bread roll service have already been opened for campers. Homemade cakes are also offered, and when you don't want to cater for yourself, dishes like pulled pork and flammkuchen are available in the evenings, which can be enjoyed in a tent. We are thrilled, keep it up.

Very nice place, I feel very comfortable as a long-term camper. It is highly recommended. Very nice site operators, always friendly and always helpful.
