The location and the view are magnificent. The surroundings are very beautiful. The cottage needs an interior refurbishment and better hygiene conditions (through the cleaning staff).

Here is a shortened version of about 900 characters that highlights the main points of criticism: Unfortunately, the campsite relies almost solely on its great location directly behind the dike by the water. The camp lady is friendly and helpful but apparently has to manage two sites at once. The site itself is badly worn and appears somewhat neglected. In particular, the sanitary facilities are in poor condition: there is a strong smell of urine in the men's area, only one of two sinks works, and the hair dryer is broken. Many repairs seem to have been done only temporarily. The outdoor area also looks dreary. The wine bar is closed but is still advertised online. The upper part of the sanitary building now resembles a lost place. Moreover, campsite rules and quiet times are hardly respected, as even gasoline-powered garden equipment is used during these quiet hours.

It would be very desirable to improve the cleanliness of the washrooms and toilet facilities.

The sanitary facilities have aged and are unfortunately very dirty. Cleaning once a day is absolutely insufficient. The electricity boxes at the pitches are sometimes very poorly accessible. The water taps are sometimes unusable. The staff is friendly and helpful but overwhelmed by the overall state of the site. The freedom to choose your pitch is nice and good, but it is unfortunate that it is not clear where the pitches begin and end.

The site is very rundown, the sanitary facilities are a disaster, there isn't even toilet paper, soap, or towels. The reserved spot was not available either, and the only job of the caretaker seemed to be driving around on his ATV instead of cleaning the toilets.

The washrooms are unfortunately not very good. Especially with small children, the designated changing and children’s washroom is missing. The playground was very good. The dining options were also only partially open, which I find incomprehensible during the peak season.

We booked a late departure, 2 days before departure I still clarified where we would drop off the key, as the reception would have already been closed at 6:00 PM. Everything was still fine at that point. On the day of departure, the reception came and informed us that the Holly was rented out again and that they practically had to kick us out.

Good location, the sanitary facilities are okay but have aged. Unfortunately, there is no grocery store on the camping site in Tossens at Friesenstrand. There is no electricity at every pitch.
