Nice, friendly reception. Good roll service starting at 8 AM. Beautiful lake reachable on foot. Sanitary facilities somewhat strange - a mix of old and new as well as clean and less clean… dog droppings on the paths in several places. Campsites are okay, somewhat muddy in parts with little vegetation, many long-term campers. Okay for a stopover.

Friendly staff, clean and modern sanitary facilities, and also a small but nice menu at the restaurant. Definitely not our last visit.

Review from August 2021 The site is laid out in smaller fields of 10 plots each. These are located above the main path with the reception and sanitary building. Due to the ground, which is heavily mixed with gravel, ordinary stakes do not work particularly well. Only appropriately long screws are helpful here. Even in the tent area or under the awning, one relies on a ground cover, at least with small children, since otherwise the ground is not suitable for playing. Some of the pebbles are quite sharp, so one needs to be careful with tarps and films; a carpet is much more suitable. Furthermore, the ground consists of clay, which means that it turns into mud quickly when it rains because water drains poorly. However, this is not a problem for us, as our son loves just that. The sanitary building is divided into an old building and a new building. The upper part is the old building. Here, you will find showers and toilets, as well as the washbasins, the station for chemical toilets and gray water, and a baby bathtub. Currently, the baby bathtub is in a room without heating, which is not very nice. Additionally, there is only one washing machine (3.50 € per wash cycle) and two dryers (2.50 € per cycle each). It is somewhat of a gamble to catch the machine free, as there is only the one for the entire site. The new building offers rental bathrooms with showers or bathtubs, as well as toilets (not separated by gender) and shower stalls. It is nice that the showers are actually in enclosed rooms and you can detach the shower head like at home. However, there is a lack of storage options; there are only two small hooks on the wall, and nothing else. The building was always clean. The playground offers a climbing frame, but it is not suitable for our 2.5-year-old son as it is too high. Around it, there is a nice large sandbox. The outdoor pool is not particularly large; on hot days, it will probably get quite crowded here. The mini-golf course is located right at the site but unfortunately looks a bit neglected. In the restaurant, breakfast as well as warm meals are available at reasonable prices. The snack bar has smaller dishes at typical snack prices. Additionally, beverages can be purchased at the reception (pricing example: 1 liter of cola 1.80 € plus deposit). You can also rent mini-golf clubs here. Furthermore, contrary to what PinCamp states, gas can also be purchased here, both in small and large cylinders, but there are no aluminum gas bottles. During check-in, you receive the barrier card for a deposit of 10 €. Additionally, you get a note for recording the power reading at the meter. Overall, this is a very quiet site, with no children's entertainment. However, there is a lot to see in the surrounding area. Nearby is the Ramstein airbase, so one does occasionally hear aircraft noise, but it is completely manageable. Anyone who doesn’t need a luxury spot, who is satisfied with clean sanitary facilities and nice people, and who simply wants to enjoy peace or is planning to explore and see a lot anyway, is definitely well placed here.
