The spacious site lies within a UNESCO biosphere reserve and offers generous pitches on meadows and woodland edges. Alternatively, rustic log cabins, cosy tiny houses and comfortable holiday apartments are available. A rustic tavern with beer garden, a small shop and a bread roll service cater to guests’ daily needs. Located between Ilmenau and the Rennsteig, the site is ideal for hiking tours, bike excursions or cross-country skiing in winter. Beautiful campsite in the forest, quiet
Beautiful spot in the forest, there is a kiosk at reception where you can buy what you forgot. We are here with our camper and have found a sufficient space. Over the weekend you can eat Thuringian sausages or roast pork at the snack bar with freshly made salad. We booked a rental bathroom, which is… More

Bungalows
Some are modernized and some are not. If you catch the dirty ones, you won't have much luck. These are really old and not clean. The sanitary facilities are clean. You need 50 cent coins to shower. Once 50 cents gives you 4 minutes of shower time. So that's sufficient.

Quiet Place in the Middle of the Forest
We visited the place during the summer holidays and stayed in one of the holiday homes.. very modern and clean, friendly staff, and idyllic location.

Quietly located place. Nice operators. Self-organized Thuringian grill events - very nice. Sanitary facilities clean and well-maintained. Perfect starting point for hikes in the Thuringian Forest.

Although the campsite is located in a 7-hectare clearing, getting here is not a problem as the site can be reached quickly and easily via a busy road nearby. A total of 80 pitches with plenty of privacy and several wooden bungalows are available for overnight stays. The leisure facilities are tailored to the natural surroundings and include a children's playground, a meadow to let off steam and archery. In summer, the campsite is an excellent starting point for the popular Rennsteig hiking trail or the Ilm cycle path. In the cold season, the Naturcamp Meyersgrund, which is open all year round, attracts winter sports enthusiasts. In the white season, the proximity to the road proves to be another plus, as the region can experience heavy snowfall and icy conditions.
