Beautiful place, BUT Verified

The place itself is beautiful, but: Twice there was no toilet paper in the restrooms, and at least the pizza served in the restaurant is frozen food. The small shop is completely overpriced, as is the kWh of electricity, which is extremely expensive. The curve leading to our area, as well as the narrow road, were impassable. Everyone had to uncouple beforehand and push the rest. The promised trampoline vouchers for the kids were forgotten, which led to a second disappointment for them. Personal electricity consumption cannot be self-monitored. There are too few sanitary facilities, and with two exceptions, the staff seemed rather annoyed. The worst are the sirens by the trampoline that go off when a child jumps too long. You can hear them all day long throughout almost the entire site.

The lake is really beautiful and perfect for children. The playground and the trampoline are also great. Unfortunately, the hygiene standards are quite lacking. The toilet by the beach doesn't even have soap dispensers. In other areas, these were sadly empty. Even in the restaurant, there was no soap. The pitch was unfortunately not a grassy area, but rather a bare soil surface. Luckily, it did not rain. The offer of a late checkout is nice, but for one night it is unfortunately not usable. I wish this had been mentioned on the website.

We really enjoyed this campsite. The sanitary facilities were clean and the pitches well-maintained. We wanted to try stand-up paddleboarding during our camping holiday and were pleased to learn that it was possible to rent a board on the lake. Unfortunately, we were unable to do so as the SUP rental provider was not present even once during our 15-day stay. We also called the mobile number indicated on the sign three times without success. What a shame! On our Comfort pitch XXL, we had no satellite reception due to the trees. It was only thanks to a tip from another camper that we noticed the connection to the power column. A small note at the time of booking or in the departure information would be helpful here, as other campers experienced similar issues. We will definitely come back, but this time with our own SUP😂.

Busy Family Campsite Verified

This is a very busy family campsite, with pitches that are far too small by Dutch standards and lacking in privacy. Quietness and nighttime rest are not maintained. There is noise all day long and late into the night. Jokingly, we have already dubbed it the "Appelhof" for adults. The restaurant resembles a fast-food place with high prices. The kiosk is also expensive. The sanitary facilities are not well equipped and by the end of the day, there is no hot water. The dog walking area is quite adequate. There are really nice hiking trails near the campsite. Be careful not to use the back exit, as it is not an entrance! You have to take a detour and enter through the front with a QR code. Overall, it’s an expensive campsite and not one we would return to.

Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities (No. 5) were not well maintained. Often, toilet paper was missing, it was dirty, and it had a strong smell. Otherwise, the place was great!

More info about Campingpark Hüttensee - Lüneburger Heide

Holidaymakers can experience camping on a white sandy beach in the middle of the Lüneburg Heath at Campingpark Hüttensee - Lüneburg Heath. Families, nature lovers and active guests feel equally at home.

Camping by the lake with lots of play options

Campingpark Hüttensee - Lüneburg Heath welcomes its guests in Winsen, which many consider to be the most beautiful holiday resort in Lüneburg Heath. The campsite borders directly on four lakes and lies in a peaceful natural setting. The pitches are spread across lush green meadows. Some of them are shaded by tall trees. Camping in the Lüneburg Heath is a luxurious experience for guests who book a private hire pool for their pitch. Those travelling with their four-legged friends can rent a pitch surrounded by a dog fence. This allows your four-legged friends to run around freely. There is also a dog forest and a paddling area for four-legged friends. Tiny houses, caravans and fun giraffe huts are also available to rent at the campsite. When the weather is nice, many holidaymakers stay at the Hüttensee, where they can swim in the clean water or play on the sandy beach. A beach volleyball court provides exercise. The Hüttensee - Lüneburg Heath camping park is also a paradise for children: they can meet up on the playgrounds, use the trampoline or test their sense of balance in the climbing garden. If the weather is bad, there is an indoor playground as an alternative. Water sports enthusiasts can try out stand-up paddling or hire pedal boats. The on-site sailing club offers courses for all skill levels.

From the campsite into the beautiful countryside

The town of Winsen, surrounded by three rivers, is well worth a visit. Holidaymakers can discover the popular holiday resort in an unusual way during a canoe trip. You can paddle along the banks of the Luhe or Ilmenau rivers. Larger excursion boats operate on the Elbe. Winsen also has a lot to offer culture vultures: You can visit the moated castle from the 13th century and immerse yourself in history on a tour of the town. The stables and the Blaufärberhaus are among the famous sights. A well-signposted network of cycle paths around the Hüttensee - Lüneburg Heath camping park invites you to actively explore the holiday region. The network of paths covers a total of 2,000 kilometres. Due to the flat topography, the Lüneburg Heath is also a cycling paradise for inexperienced cyclists. One of the most popular routes is the Elbe dyke route, which is 51 km long and, as the name suggests, leads along many dykes. The network of hiking trails around the campsite is also impressive: 170 signposted kilometres of trails are waiting to be discovered by active guests. A tour to the Meißendorf ponds and through the Bannetz moor will certainly be remembered for a long time: many viewing towers on the circular hiking trail invite you to observe the birdlife. Watch out bathing mermaids and nature fans: The Hüttensee - Lüneburg Heath camping park is the perfect holiday destination! It borders on four clear lakes that are perfect for splashing around, swimming and water sports. Dogs are very welcome at this pet-friendly campsite.
