Campingpark Eberbach

We always make a stop here again because everything just fits: informal reservations by phone or email - the friendly receptionist has everything well under control. Neat, well-maintained sanitary facilities - as seniors, we are not bothered by the 80s look. On-site restaurant - always fully satisfied with service and offerings. The meadow area right by the Neckar is simply appealing. And Eberbach itself - always worth it. Heidelberg is not far away.

Beautifully located campsite directly by the Neckar. Well-maintained grassy area, somewhat aged sanitary facilities. Delicious pizzas at the restaurant Ankerseele right by the site. Great bike paths along the Neckar.

We were on the site for a few days during the week in June 2020, and there was very little going on. Corona rules were observed, every second shower and restroom was closed. There was no disinfectant available in the sanitary unit. Unfortunately, the sanitary building has aged. It dates back to the 80s/90s. The campground belongs to the city of Eberbach and is leased. This is probably also a reason why insufficient investment is made in the site and buildings. The sanitary building is located above the site on a hill. It is very difficult to reach for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users. The sanitary facilities were clean, a salute to the cleaning lady! The showerheads could use cleaning or replacement. The existing concrete slabs in front of RVs or caravans have been relaid. Unfortunately, the wash concrete slabs were not completed and filled in with soil. One could not drive directly up to the RV/caravan. There was a dig trench approximately 50cm wide and 30cm deep between the slabs and the grass, which unfortunately was not filled in with soil. The site is very sparsely lit at night, unmonitored, and the barrier is open. Perhaps the city of Eberbach has some money left over; the sanitary building could use some improvement. It's a shame about the good location.

The location right by the Neckar is really nice, the old town of Eberbach is reachable in a few minutes on foot.... We felt very comfortable and would love to come back. Everyone was very friendly and dogs were welcome. You can reach the outdoor swimming pool in 2 to 3 minutes on foot. For campers with and without dogs, there are beautiful walking paths. One point off for the outdated sanitary facilities. We would gladly return.
