Very clean sanitary facilities Ideal for a trip to Naples and Vesuvius

Great location for Vesuvius, Pompeii, and Naples. The campsite now has a large and new washroom, which we have always found clean. The pitches are set in a lovely garden area. In the front section, there are parking spaces for day visitors, but this did not bother us. The very close railway line is audible... but this is still more than acceptable. All in all, the campsite is recommended. There has probably been much change in recent years and old reviews are no longer accurate.

Everything was easy to reach and close by. No rolls to get.

Good place is small but manageable, great starting point for Naples and Sorrento. Train station 300 meters away, Pompeii directly across the street. Dog is no problem. Sanitary facilities are very clean and almost new, cleaned several times a day. Train line right behind but not disturbing at night.

In the area, there is a normal parking lot in front of the gate, followed by the narrow camper pitches between orange trees. The sanitary facilities are relatively new and well-maintained. 5 sinks, 1 washing machine, 1 dryer. Sufficient power connections, water taps are rather dirty. I drew my water from the sinks using a watering can. Chemical and grey water disposal is available. Refilling an 11 kg gas bottle, organized through the reception (drop off in the morning, pick up in the evening) cost 40 euros (Obi wants 26 euros). There are 3 restaurants/cafes directly within a 200 m area, as well as access to the excavations and the train station, accordingly life is bustling here. For visiting Pompeii, the location of the site is optimal, also for Naples and Sorrento you are right in the middle in about 40 minutes by train. We were here from April 25th to April 29th, 2024. We would come back.

Small place in the best location for excursions such as Naples, Vesuvius, and Pompeii, with a train station right in front of the campsite. Direct connection to the center takes about 30 minutes for €2.80 per person. Sanitary facilities are outdated and not very attractive. €39 (2 adults + 2 kids + camper) including Wi-Fi per night is a great price for this location. Reception staffed 24 hours.

The campsite is located between the archaeological site of Pompeii and the Pompeii train station. With this train, which is not disruptive at the campsite (soundproof wall), you can travel to Naples in one direction and to Sorrento in the other direction. Cost per trip: max. €2.80. Unfortunately, the operator is very greedy, which is why he rents out the empty spaces as regular parking. This results in the sanitary facilities being mostly completely dirty and you never know who is camping at the site and who actually has no business being there. Those who want to go out for dinner in the evening must make a two-kilometer walk to the city center. It's similarly long to walk to the supermarket. To use it for excursions, the site is okay. However, it is not recommended for a relaxing holiday. There are no playground facilities for children.
