Camping Walchensee

Dreamlike view of the mountains and an incredibly beautiful lake. Sanitary facilities are absolutely fine.

Very rude! I asked if I could make a reservation for a later stay. They replied curtly whether we had not read the sign. It said, "We are really fully booked." And one could simply check the website. Everything was very clearly stated there. A tour of the place was not possible. We could just look over from the shore. Anyone who doesn't like customers should change jobs!

We had a pitch in the first row with direct access to the lake, overlooking a great mountain panorama and the wonderful lake. You can go swimming or rent/brought your SUP. For water sports enthusiasts a dream... The roll delivery service is top-notch and in the mini market, there is a small selection of daily necessities; you can enjoy fresh coffee and cake and a few cold drinks on the terrace and have everything booked to your pitch. Different food trucks come 4 times a week. The drinking water has top quality; there could be more water stations. The sanitary facilities are okay, showers and washing cabins very nice, however, the toilets are somewhat outdated but clean. We would love to come back again....

We had a pitch in the first row with direct access to the lake and an idyllic view of the turquoise blue lake. You can go swimming or rent/take a SUP, and with a dog, you are right on the hiking trails. The bread roll service is top-notch; the mini-market also has cakes, fresh cold cuts, beer, etc., and fresh coffee as well. The drinking water tastes really good; there could be more water stations. We really enjoyed our stay.

In response to my camping inquiry, I received the following reply: Thank you for your inquiry, but unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the camping fields and the surrounding area for hygienic reasons. This statement is not visible on the website and also here in the app. So dog owners who only have a tent and no caravan or camper are unfortunately not allowed to visit this site.

This campground would have potential due to its location by the beautiful Walchensee, if it weren't for the people. The managing couple is very unfriendly, he even threatens guests and is highly aggressive. At least some long-term campers seem to appreciate this way of treating people or have at least adapted to it and bark at guests who have been on the site for less than 5 minutes. The facilities are outdated, and prices are therefore not appropriate in relation to the service provided. Dogs are formally allowed, but not welcome. As a guest, I do not want to be constantly monitored on vacation, even if it is meant to be just precautionary. If guests behave improperly, they can be addressed, but it is not right to monitor everyone with suspicion from the very beginning. Atmosphere: block warden. Conclusion: if you cannot stand people as much as the owners, perhaps you should look for another occupation and not try to make money in the tourism/service sector. We will definitely not return to this site.

Total peace and relaxation right by the lake, beautiful, well-maintained site with very nice staff. We'll come back 👌🏻

We were at the campsite for two weeks in August 2020, I must say we were very satisfied. Unfortunately, the weather was not good, it rained almost the entire time, but we still had a lot of fun and went on many excursions. The women at the reception were very friendly, top-notch 😃👋 The service was great and the location was very good 👋 clean area. Beautiful views of the lake and mountains, what more could you want 😃🙋🏻‍♀️ The staff was overall very nice 👋 we will definitely come again 😃👋 many greetings, Family Zelazny 😃🙋🏻‍♀️
