Very rude! I asked if I could make a reservation for a later stay. They replied curtly whether we had not read the sign. It said, "We are really fully booked." And one could simply check the website. Everything was very clearly stated there. A tour of the place was not possible. We could just look o

We had a pitch in the first row with direct access to the lake, overlooking a great mountain panorama and the wonderful lake. You can go swimming or rent/brought your SUP. For water sports enthusiasts a dream... The roll delivery service is top-notch and in the mini market, there is a small selectio

We had a pitch in the first row with direct access to the lake and an idyllic view of the turquoise blue lake. You can go swimming or rent/take a SUP, and with a dog, you are right on the hiking trails. The bread roll service is top-notch; the mini-market also has cakes, fresh cold cuts, beer, etc.,

We were at the campsite for two weeks in August 2020, I must say we were very satisfied. Unfortunately, the weather was not good, it rained almost the entire time, but we still had a lot of fun and went on many excursions. The women at the reception were very friendly, top-notch 😃👋 The service was g

Scenic location. The lake is uniquely beautiful. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio at this place is not so great. Electricity costs -,70€ per kWh, and we suspect that the electricity meters are not calibrated. The sanitary facilities leave much to be desired. There are 3 showers for women,

This beautiful campsite in Kochel, Bavaria, is situated in a fantastic location on the idyllic shores of Lake Walchensee. The pitches offer a wonderful view of the village of Walchensee and the Herzogstand mountain.
Camping Walchensee is an excellent choice for a relaxing holiday in Upper Bavaria. The pitches in the shade of the deciduous trees with a view of the leisure lake and the Herzogstand mountain in the Bavarian Alps are very popular. The parcelling out of the gravelled pitches means that motorhomes and caravans can make the most of the space and campers can enjoy their privacy undisturbed. The sanitary facilities with showers and toilets, the disposal station for grey water and the reception are within easy reach of the pitches. The campsite also offers a bread roll service in the morning and has a grocery shop for smaller purchases. Dogs are allowed on some pitches on request, but not larger breeds. Dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the campsite and on the lakeshore. Dogs are not allowed in the water at Walchensee.
The two bathing lakes in Upper Bavaria in the shadow of the Herzogstand are perfect holiday destinations for active campers who want to discover the region on a hiking trip. Both Walchensee and Kochelsee have excellent bathing spots and boat hire facilities for water fun. Walchensee is particularly popular with divers. Sunken car, boat and even aeroplane wrecks lie at the bottom of the lake here. Due to its size, the Kochelsee is circumnavigated by cyclists, who can enjoy a wonderful day trip. The tranquil villages such as Kochel am See with their inns and taverns invite you to linger and savour.
In addition to its idyllic location, Camping Walchensee impresses with its excellent service and modern facilities. Campers can find comprehensive information about the campsite on PINCAMP, the ADAC camping portal, contact the campsite via the website and read the reviews in which guests share their experiences of Camping Walchensee.
