A large Italian campsite aimed at families with small children. Pitch/ Rental accommodation: The space was large enough for the caravan.
Renew sanitary facilities, create a real swimming pool and improve the other amenities, making them look nicer.

We were warmly welcomed by Carlo. We stayed on a concrete site that was shady. You can buy delicious wine and chestnut beer there. The red wine has even received an award. We were allowed to set our chairs on a sheltered terrace with a great view. It's great there even with a dog. Campsite/Rental Accommodation: The Ecomuseum offers excellent paths that mark various routes and attractions. It is quiet, and later there was a second camper there too. Highly recommended!

The pitches are mostly very generous and are distributed in a pine forest around the main building with a supermarket, bar, and restaurant. The sanitary facilities are somewhat older but always clean. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The beach is about 500 meters away. There is plenty to offer for children.

We were here in August for 3 weeks since the desired campsite was already occupied. The site is expansive and the pitches are generous. Due to the little natural vegetation, the site is quite bright and airy. The pizzas in the restaurant are reasonably priced and delicious, and you can also order the food to take away. During our stay, about 90% of the campers were Italian (which was absolutely not disturbing). The washrooms are large and could use some renovation or a more thorough cleaning, but they were still acceptable. The site was always clean, despite the many dogs, which were hardly noticeable. Dogs are also allowed on the beach, which was also not disturbing. The path to the beach is easily accessible by foot or by bicycle. The beach is wide and gently slopes into the sea. It is divided into an area for rented sun loungers and an area with "free choice of seating." There is an underpass under the road. The road itself was not noticeable from the campsite. As is common in Italy, there are regular animations during the main season, even sometimes until after midnight. The playground is right next to the bar and well-equipped (swings, seesaws, climbing frames, etc.) There is also a climbing park attached to the campsite for small to large. When you are there, a visit to Castiglione is a must. The old town of Grosseto is also worth seeing and there are many opportunities for day trips (Saturnia, Siena, San Gimignano, Massa Marittima, etc.)

Alternative place when everything in Castiglione is full. For the prices charged, totally overpriced.

A few years ago we were there. The pitches were very large and the sea was beautiful too, but the campsite has a very large noise level. You would wake up in the morning from the crickets in the trees, and everything was full of pine cones with no green spots anywhere. The sanitary facilities were the worst I have ever experienced at a campsite, with neither toilet paper nor soap available. Also, the fact that you are not allowed to grill freely but have to use a designated grilling area is very inconvenient for me personally. And the highlight of the trip was the pool, which is a plunge pool with a strict swim cap requirement. The campsite is absolutely not recommended; I have stayed at much nicer places for the same price.

We enjoyed the expected and quiet location of the place. It was obviously not yet the season at all. The setup of the sun loungers and parasols on the beach, which were not strictly necessary for us, took place in the last week of the holiday. The swimming pool had not opened yet either. The holiday home met our expectations. A complaint was handled immediately. A clean and very large campsite. The restaurant deserves special mention. The food and drink offerings were indeed comparable to a classic restaurant with good quality. The neighboring town of Castiglione della Pescaia is one of the absolutely most beautiful coastal towns in all of Italy. We did not like Marina di Grosseto at all. Grosseto itself is not a pleasure for drivers, at least. The campsite receives four stars from us in overall consideration.
