Check-in (from 4 PM with unmotivated, incompetent and arrogant staff) with a 9m camper takes about 1 hour! The only spot (most expensive category) was unacceptable, alternative spot with an additional charge of 78€ 😏. The "private bathroom" (rust and pests included for free) was also available. Toilet paper was not included in the price. The car is parked several hundred meters away in a separate lot - Attention all persons with mobility impairments - only allowed to check-in and check-out at the site. Since 100% prepayment is required, early departure means a loss of money 🥴. You are essentially buying a pig in a poke 😏. At the site, the ants 🐜 quickly take over the entire caravan. The thousand mosquitoes are less disturbing. 😂🤳 Next supermarket about 15 km away. Alternative; the campsite restaurant - of course extremely expensive and with extremely bad taste. From 9 PM Halli-Galli Village Disco from the speakers 😤... The sea is a few minutes walk away and - of course the sun loungers - expensive. WHY THIS CAMP IS AN ADAC SUPER CAMP is beyond me. We blow off our money and enjoy Italy where Italy is still Italy. Unfortunately, I have to rate this with one star 🤷♂️.

Sanitary facilities very neglected. I only saw cleaning staff once this week. Nice outdoor pool, but upon closer inspection, many defective joints in the pool area. The entire facility is quite overgrown. The discount regarding the ADAC camping card was supposedly invalid for our premium pitch, but was granted after a longer discussion. Investment backlog noticeably felt. Cleaning in the sanitary area is subpar.

The sanitary facilities are outdated. No toilet paper, well, but then there's no shelf to put down anything you brought - that’s just not acceptable. The floor is always wet, so you have to lift your pants to avoid getting soaked by the swamp. No urinals, whatever spills over goes into the swamp. The shower time is ultra short. Saving water is great, but one should at least get properly wet. You end up pressing the button three or four times, which consumes more water than if a decent amount were set initially. The staff is completely unfriendly and can only communicate in a rudimentary manner. The camouflage shirts see themselves as the kings of the campsite but can hardly communicate. Well, give people a uniform and they will... the Italians are no different from Germans, French, Spaniards, etc. Despite my walking disability, I was denied the right to ride my electric scooter to the shower, toilet, or pool. Bicycles, e-bikes, and their e-vehicles, as well as tractors, were allowed on the path. Now to another topic: the campsite is not located at a beach. It is a long walk, 2-3 km, through another campsite to get to the beach. Then another minimum of 600 - 800 m through deep sand to reach the free beach. Certainly uncomfortable for young people, but almost impossible for the elderly and disabled. However, the sea is beautiful. The pool area is okay. The mini-market is good and has everything you need but is on the expensive side. Supermarkets and groceries are a piece away in Castiligone. The restaurant is very mediocre – typical camping food. However, there are some decent restaurants within 12-15 km in the area. There is not much sightseeing nearby. Conclusion: Beach vacation negative - no direct beach access Sightseeing negative - everything is too far away Cuisine - everything is only reachable with a vehicle. Add to that the unfriendly staff and the poor sanitary facilities. Not worth a return visit.

The worst place we have been to so far. We left the place the next day. We actually wanted to stay for a week. The sanitary facilities are catastrophic. No toilet seats, no toilet paper, no places to put things down (even brought toilet paper must be placed on the, sometimes wet, floor) cleanliness is almost nonexistent. Electricity boxes are a danger!! I wouldn’t want to draw water there. Overall, everything seems broken and lacking sense and reason. Paths are completely misleading. Waste stations are endlessly far away. Old, sometimes neglected caravans are everywhere. The pool area seems okay, food in the restaurant was also okay. Finally, when it came to payment, which was supposed to be 25€, we had to leave the full deposit of 63€ there. That’s customary there. Terrible.

We were out with our dog, which meant we couldn't use the inner area (pool, bar, restaurant). The campsite has seen better days and was quite dirty. To get to the beach (very beautiful!), you have to cross a street that runs directly past the site. Last but not least, it's about 4 km from the center of Castilione, which is definitely too far just to go for a quick visit. 2 out of 10 points!

We spent a week with a caravan at this campsite at the beginning of September. Since we booked a comfort pitch, the space was also sufficiently large. Depending on the size of your caravan/motorhome, the standard pitches can be a bit cramped. Most pitches are located in the shade under pine trees. The location is relatively quiet, apart from the road that runs past the campsite. It takes some getting used to that the site is meant to be driven on only for arrivals and departures by car, but this certainly contributes to a pleasant quiet during the stay. It would have been nice if we had been informed beforehand that the barrier is only open for arrivals from 8-12 and 16-20 - that way, we could have better avoided a long wait until we could settle into our pitch. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained (remember to bring your own toilet paper!), the pool is large and appealing. For sports enthusiasts, there is plenty to do: there are tennis courts, volleyball, table tennis, soccer, and an area with weights and other fitness equipment available for free use. The walk to the beach takes about 10 minutes on foot, and you have to walk through the neighboring campsite. The public beach is nice, although a bit narrow. You can easily bring your dog. Overall, our stay was good, and we can recommend this campsite.

At short notice (one day before), we booked a lodge tent for the family for 10 days at the beginning of October. The tent was clean, large and well-maintained. The mattresses were great, and the kitchen equipment was sufficient to wonderful. The children (2 and 5 years old) had fun at the playground and the amazing pool area. Thanks to the great weather, we spent almost all our time at the fantastic private beach. The lounging set for 10 euros a day is fair; those who book it online get it even cheaper. The food at the restaurant was very good. The paths to the town (6km to Castiglione) are manageable, and for MTB fans, there are countless trails in the area. We will come back!

We were at the site for 1 week during the high season with our caravan. We reserved a Comfort pitch. The pitch was large and shady and had a water connection. At that time, 80% were Italians and a few Dutch and very few Germans were present. The pool area is spacious and clean. However, we spent almost all of our time at the sea. To get there, you have to leave the site via the reception and walk through a forest (approx. 15 min). The beach and the sea are clean and very clear. At the restaurant, we got a pizza once, and it was very delicious. The market is small, very friendly, and well-stocked. Good selection of rolls. However, I would do the big shopping in a supermarket. There is a large sanitation block. Unfortunately, the toilets are without seats and paper. Otherwise, it is usually clean, and the pollution comes from people who are just pigs. Showers are warm at all times and without waiting time. Cars must be parked in the parking lot (but within the camping site). Entrance to the site is only from 8-13 and 16-20 hours. The access via the parking lot is very narrow. There are trees in the middle, and cars park on the left and right that partially extend into the roadway. For shopping, transport carts are ready to take items from the car to the pitch. We played tennis twice (this is included in the club card). Court, rackets, and balls are of good quality. The staff at the reception is very friendly and strives to resolve all questions and problems. The site is relatively expensive, but the other sites in the area are in the same price range. Thank you for the lovely time.

On the Maremma coast in Tuscany, Camping Village Rocchette invites you to enjoy a wonderful beach holiday. A large pool area also provides refreshment. Sports enthusiasts can let off steam on the tennis courts or use the football pitches.
Camping Village Rocchette covers an area of 12 hectares on a flat, pine-covered site. Some pitches offer every comfort with electricity, fresh water and waste water connections. Wi-Fi is available free of charge in public areas such as the pool, at the bar and at reception. There is also a mini-market in the centre of the campsite, which is open daily and where self-catering guests can buy fresh bread rolls, snacks, cold cuts and many other regional products. It is also possible to hire bicycles at the campsite. Toys, clothing and souvenirs are available in the bazaar. A favourite meeting place for foodies is the "Mama" restaurant, which serves Tuscan dishes such as homemade pasta and delicious meals for children. The beautiful public beach of Rocchette is just a short walk through the pine forest. Camping Village Rocchette also has its own private beach, where parasols and sunbeds await those seeking relaxation. The crystal-clear sea and the campsite's hammam are not the only places to relax. Another highlight is the approximately 2,000 square metre pool area with a separate children's pool.
If you want to get active, you can play tennis, beach volleyball, paddle tennis, table tennis or football. Water sports enthusiasts will get their money's worth with stand-up paddling or windsurfing. Those who want to take their first steps here can take advantage of the windsurfing school on site.
