Camping Viareggio

Great for one night. Shady place. Restaurant available. Pool, hot shower and wifi must be paid for separately. I find that unacceptable for the price. Staff was very nice.

We were here for the first time a year ago. The small site is nicely laid out - with tents, you are always in the shade under pines, which is not the case for all campers. Pool, warm showers, and Wi-Fi cost extra - since the base price is low, this didn't bother me. Our children liked the playgrounds and always quickly found playmates.

The reception contact is sometimes a bit reserved, but the place itself is very nice, well-kept with a large playground. The pool is not included in the price and, for our taste, is too expensive (Adults 3€ , Children 2€). It takes about 15 minutes to get to the beach through a beautiful little forest, a great free beach next to the sunbed rental areas. The town is not to our taste, but it’s a good place for day trips in the region.

The site is okay. The sanitary facilities are very clean and in order. The ADAC Camper Card is accepted, but it does not provide any financial benefits. The area for camper service is only vaguely present, but sufficient. Highly recommended is the kitchen of the small restaurant at the site, which opens at 7 PM. Absolutely nice team and great food including seafood at a really small price.

The internet should definitely be included in the price... The mini shop is way too expensive... the restaurant offers good Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. It's not a high-tech place but everything you need is there. You can walk to the beach or the city in 20 minutes. The owner is permanently unfriendly, but the other staff are super friendly and helpful. When the "night watchman" comes at 3 a.m. because you're enjoying your vacation too loudly, he can be easily dismissed ;-) We will go back.

In 2015, there was a mosquito plague in Viareggio. We were bitten to the point of exhaustion. The site itself is very basic. The sanitary facilities are in poor condition. Not all hot showers work. The pool is okay, swimming caps are mandatory. The ground is very damp. Drying laundry takes 3 days!

The place is clean with shady parking options! Warm shower costs an extra €0.50 for about 10 seconds of warm water. The pool also costs extra. The beach can be reached on foot in about 8-10 minutes! You can eat well at the restaurant.
