Great place
Nicely located spot, nice staff and good sanitary facilities. Hiking trails right from the front door. No problem cycling or taking the bus to Merano. This is our third time here, but certainly not the last.

Always happy to come back
Small campsite, clean sanitary facilities. Centrally located, great hiking area. Everything you need nearby. You should definitely buy the 7-day bus ticket (€16,-). With the bus, everything important is reachable.

Small but Nice
Small space with great sanitation. Friendly staff. We stayed over the weekend because of the proximity to the city of Merano and were completely satisfied!

At Camping Via Claudia Augusta in Merano and Environs in South Tyrol, families can have fun in the outdoor pool right next to the campsite and in the children's playground. During an active holiday, you can explore romantic mountain villages by bike or on foot.
Just outside the South Tyrolean town of Merano/Meran, Camping Via Claudia Augusta welcomes nature lovers in a peaceful location. The approximately 1-hectare site is surrounded by orchards and vineyards. Apples and wine are available in a small farm shop and the nearby bakery and pizzeria cater for culinary needs. There is a pond at the heart of the campsite where anglers can catch a fresh trout for dinner. The pitches with electricity and water connections on the terraced site are up to 100 m² in size. Admission to the outdoor pool right next to the campsite is included in the price of the pitch. Ambitious swimmers can do their lengths in the sports pool, while those seeking peace and quiet can relax in the whirlpool. Little water rats can cool off in the children's pool with its water mushroom and slide. The Via Claudia Augusta campsite playground is also a great place to let off steam. The campsite cooperates with the local bike hire centre. Modern racing bikes, mountain bikes or trekking bikes can be hired to take you through the Adige Valley or to the charming mountain village of Vellau. Hikers can reach the village with the chairlift in Mitterplars, which is around 15 minutes from the campsite. A particularly beautiful tour runs along the picturesque Vellau rock path, which is known for its fantastic views of the Merano mountains.
