On a peninsula on the Lithuanian Baltic Sea coast around 20 km south of the harbour town of Klaipėda, Camping Ventainė awaits its guests with a beautiful, unspoilt sandy beach and a small boat harbour. There are well-kept pitches and comfortable rental accommodation on flat meadows near the village of Ventė. The 100 metre long sandy beach with a large sunbathing lawn and windsurfing school is just a few minutes' walk away. The indoor pool and sauna are also popular meeting places. Children can have fun on the playground and adults on the sports field. Boats can be hired at the small harbour. The lighthouse with its exciting ornithological museum can be reached quickly by bike. The restaurant serves tasty dishes. There is a grocery shop in Ventė.
The campsite at the Curonian Lagoon and in the Memel Delta Regional Park offers pure nature and interesting observations for birdwatchers.
On the campsite grounds are some wooden sculptures by contemporary artists from the Baltic countries and Scandinavia. At the lighthouse with an ornithological museum about 1.5 km away, migratory birds are observed and ringed (reachable by ferry to Nida directly from the campsite).

A dreamy view of the Curonian Haff and the Curonian Spit. Very nice, but relatively small camping spots; if possible, you should stand in the front row. The sanitary facilities are top-notch compared to many other experiences in the Baltics. Clean and spacious. Drawback: The crowds are, as often in the Baltics, rather adequate. Bonus point: No dogs allowed. We would definitely come back.

We were there in Sep. 2018. Off-season. Paid €25 per day for 2 adults including electricity, water, and hot showers. When I wanted to take a shower, only cold water came out. In response to my complaint, I was told that the boiler has been broken for a week. (What for €25)

Attention, no dogs allowed. The location is nice, but behind houses, no view of the lagoon. The pitches are uneven. No supply and disposal for camper vans. The reception was not staffed and we had to wait over 15 minutes. There are nicer spots in the area for camper vans.

Nice place with a great view. As is the case with all places in LT, however, the sanitary facilities are not on par with the price (€22.50). Cassette disposal is possible in the toilet. Greywater cannot be disposed of. No fresh water intake possible.

Beautiful, quiet spot with a great view from the parking space of the Curonian Lagoon and Spit. Very clean in charming simplicity. Contrary to the ADAC description: No WLAN at the site, only in the hotel area, no shopping opportunities, no CEE electricity, no washing cabins. Tip: Ornithological research station with a visitor center reachable by foot. There is also a tiny kiosk with EVERYTHING you need, including fish and various types of beer. Ferry service to Nida managed by the hotel. Reserve in advance and check again, as our ferry was initially canceled. No shade. Room for improvement: Lack of dishwashing facilities. Two huge metal tubs without hot water. Showers only with cold water during high occupancy.

I only spent one night at the site, but I have to say that everything really fits here! Price - performance is great! I paid only 6 euros for the night with my motorcycle and tent, and a 0.5 l beer only costs 2.20€. You can be in the beautiful water within 30 seconds and enjoy the sunset in the evening with a view of the Curonian Spit! Everything's great! On my next Baltic tour, I will definitely be here again!
