For the 18th time, we wanted to spend our vacation at the campsite. Upon arrival, we were told that there was a problem and the spot was occupied – even though we had reserved exactly a year in advance – and that we could get onto the spot the next day at 5:00 PM. When the next day the guests on "our" spot showed no signs of packing up, let alone leaving, we became suspicious – "graciously" we were allowed to stay in the camping parking lot during that time. The statement from the senior manager was that these were new customers and if they were allowed to stay, they might come back. Until now, everything has always worked out for us, and we just needed to be a little patient. However, they could not give us a specific time from when we would really be allowed to occupy our booked spot. Is this the right attitude to keep regular guests?

We booked the site with our motorhome, which is 7m long, for two people with a dog at the end of June for a week. The site is clean. The same applies to the toilets and showers. There are separate covered parking spaces for cars. There are enough trash bins near the pitches, which are emptied daily. In short: We felt comfortable, went on bike trips (unfortunately no bike paths on Elba) and rented a car for two days, with the friendly reception helping us. The bistro on site is also recommended. The same goes for Orti di Mare, about 15 minutes on foot, where you can simply eat and enjoy under old olive trees. It is advisable to take an umbrella for the beach.

Facility quite good, clean and friendly people. Function of the sanitary facilities inadequate. Dogs, dogs, dogs even on the beach and almost always without a leash.

The campsite has unfortunately become very run-down. The doors of the restrooms only close partially, toilet seats are completely missing, and there are large cracks in the wall tiles. We had booked a private bathroom, but the defective shower cubicle was minimally replaced with a strip of a shower curtain. The internet is super slow and is only perceptible in the reception area. The pitches are very small, so there is no privacy at all. Some caravans and campers are on less than 30m2 of space. The only plus of this campsite is its direct location by the sandy beach.

Firstly, a warning: constant 5-star grumblers, dog haters, and ship enthusiasts should avoid this place. However, anyone who enjoys a cozy and sociable camping community and can do without excessive regulations will be very well accommodated here. The site is small and manageable, located directly on the sandy beach that is cleaned once a week, has a good restaurant, friendly staff, and clean restroom facilities. Dogs are also allowed on the beach outside the main season. There is a good bar with very good cocktails and long drinks. Privacy is not a priority here, rather it is about the friendly interaction with other campers. We are here for the first time and we will come back.

We had a great time. The place is relatively manageable and not too large. Sanitary facilities very clean. Every evening there is a children's cinema, and the parents can relax right in front of the bar. Many families visiting, not too many Germans ;-)
