Nice place, but too small pitches and narrow pathways

The entire site gives a neat impression and the staff is always friendly. The sanitary facilities are clean, up to date, and cannot be criticized. Children have enough activities here. Pitch sizes are tight. You are relatively close to your neighbors, and with larger RVs, the hitch and rear are almost on the borders. The network of pathways is far too narrow and cramped. Driving in/parking becomes almost a challenge. Some pitches are very wet and a problem even for light, smaller RVs. Great fenced dog play area with the only (empty) bag dispenser on the site (?!) The Wi-Fi access is limited to 2 (!) devices and thus a predetermined point of contention for families with children. The narrow access roads and small pitches are for me a reason not to return.

Very idyllic location, very family-friendly, nice staff

It is a beautiful campsite. Very suitable for families. Every year I only get scared when I see the children racing down the hill from the upper campsite to the lower area on their scooters or bikes. Dangerous also for pedestrians and other path users. The upper restroom building has become super nice, while the old restroom building is in need of renovation, especially concerning the showers. The water intervals are set too short and when fully occupied, the water quickly becomes cold. However, I must praise the cleanliness. A downside is sometimes the too small pitches. Despite everything, I felt very comfortable.

Great place, especially in the summer, minor downside for the space size

Great place, pleasant size, great new bathhouse (only family bathrooms). Everything is well maintained and clean. New "playhouse" for children with slide, ball pit, climbing wall, and table tennis. Playgrounds outside are okay but could offer a bit more for very young children. Restaurant and kiosk are also good. Only the size of the camping spots is modest - much better up on the tent meadow. It would be more comfortable if cars didn’t park next to the caravans.

Orsingen - Campsite from 27.05.2023 - 03.06.2023 We were on the tent meadow in Orsingen-Nenzingen at the campsite from May 27th to June 3rd with a total of three families. This was not our first time, and we have really enjoyed being there until now! However, this time there were some things that really annoyed us. We have an Outwell Knoxville 7 SA, and the other families were also not really traveling with small tents. It was already stated on the homepage that you may only use up to 20 sqm on the tent meadow. Okay. Plot? Not possible... why? Only motorhomes and caravans are allowed... aha! And now? We pay for two tent pitches. Also okay... and of course the double environmental fee... why? Kindly, our double electricity fees were waived. For all our questions of why, the answer was always "That's just how it is".... In addition, the swimming pool (entrance included in the price) only opened from 31.05. (okay... we could have figured that out beforehand - still annoying). At least the new sanitation building has now opened! Mega great cabins with shower, toilet, and sink - great for the first two days, ... then we would have liked to maintain the cleaning interval of once a day... What we also did not fully understand (but it did not affect us this time) - you have to book at least three nights. But honestly - all the cyclists with their mini-tents who stay one night and leave early the next morning - don’t they also pay for three nights? Also, according to the homepage, all pitches were fully booked - so - between the caravans, it was very "airy" - (... and the tent meadow was almost empty...) All in all, a lot of things seemed very strange to us - it felt decided by whim. Our résumé - actually a nice campsite - especially with kids.... but for the price, it just doesn’t match anymore.... Too bad... !

Ideal for Families

Beautiful campsite for families, clean and generally friendly staff. Family showers are pleasant, but a bit calcified. The rinse basins are in full sunshine all day and thus very hot! The bread roll service is unusable for us, but there is a Netto supermarket with a baking machine within walking distance. The swimming pool is okay, shading over the baby pool would be nice. A lifeguard was present, but small children had to jump into the deep water from the edge. Great slide that was a lot of fun. Definitely worth highlighting are the children's animation as well as the small indoor play area with a ball pit; I did not expect something like that given the size of the campsite. The pitch markings could use new paint, and perhaps a bit more shading on the pitches would be helpful.

Beautiful campsite with minor flaws...

The size of the pitches is okay but could also be a bit larger. In the bathing house, I personally found the shower stalls too small. The showerheads in all the showers that my family and I used were very calcified and urgently need to be replaced. Not a single rinse basin had a plug. They were probably stolen at some point and never replaced... really stupid for rinsing! You can order buns digitally. However, the selection is very small here. The options are: pretzel rolls, water rolls, and grain rolls. These can be ordered in a large bag or a small bag. It's a shame that croissants or similar are not offered. The mini-golf course is somewhat outdated. The restaurant and kiosk were good! Very friendly staff. The quality was also fine.
