Camping und Ferienpark Brilon

A well-located, very basic, and expensive campsite that feels like a rip-off.

The location is okay, the sanitary facilities are clean, and the restaurant ‘Landgh.Gruss’ is great. However, the campsite only offers the bare essentials - taking in a lot of money with minimal effort, and if there are problems, you certainly cannot expect any help from the owners.

We only wanted to change our reservation due to an obstruction. We were told that this wasn't possible and that we would need to book again. Therefore, we would have had to pay twice due to the prepayment. This is indeed very Dutch behavior. The Dutch owner was very unfriendly and not accommodating at all during the phone call. I will never pay in advance again.

Dead insects 12-15 pieces / old dog hairs / dishes not clean... unfriendly man who did not introduce himself and intruded into the private area to abruptly inform that putting the kitchen chair outside for guests is not tolerated and should be promptly returned. This was done in an authoritative tone that I would not have expected here. On his way to me, he threatened 2 cyclists with his car, who complained to me. Furiously, he stepped out of the car towards us. By the way, the chair had plastic nubs on the plastic legs and was on dry, clean floor tiles, and there was blue sky. Neither good day / nor farewell / nor introduction. The house has no loungers, no towel holders in the toilet and kitchen, no hairdryer / this all for over 800 euros without bed linen for 4 days in a plastic house (Enzian) However, nicely arranged and nice view.

I really like the washing house. Fun music, clean and tidy. Private cabins with sinks, nice showers. I had a huge space for my tent and car. It was quiet. Fortunately perfect wifi, unfortunately a lot of rain.

Very large plots and everything is super well-kept and clean. Sanitation is always top-notch. Many hiking trails in the area. Highly recommended - we will definitely come back!

Guest cards were not issued, so the bus ride had to be paid for. Upon our own inquiry, these were issued, but no word of apology. They then proceeded to speak Dutch among themselves... good thing I understand Dutch, so I definitely won't come back because of that. Our traveling friends agree with this.

We were at the site with 3 families. The reservation and the promised places were not given to us, leading to an initial contact with the extremely unfriendly groundskeeper. They were gossiping in Dutch, the only problem being that we understood it too. The sandbox was overgrown and contaminated with glass shards, we removed these and also gladly pulled the weeds for the groundskeeper. He had enough to do with the inspection rounds in our row. Every step was observed and directly commented on. An apology for a misunderstanding on our part was not taken seriously; instead, I was insulted and harassed. This was our last time at this site; I do not want to support such an unfriendly attitude. The place is actually nice and the plots large enough. Great site with the wrong operators.
