Sloping, partly terraced meadow area above the reservoir, naturally structured by gentle hills. Characterized by permanent campers. The area for tourists is predominantly divided and loosened by younger trees and bushes.
Access to water
Access to the beach with approximately 500 m long gravel shoreline via a public hiking trail (numerous boats are also moored there), followed by a sunbathing lawn. Separate dog beach.

Great campsite
We were camping for the first time, and we really enjoyed it despite the rain. All the staff were very friendly, well-maintained campsite, nice playgrounds, and superb sanitary facilities, here I want to mention the children's area as excellent, everything was taken into account.

I spent three very lovely days with my grandchildren at their campsite. From earlier days, I know this place quite differently. The sanitary facilities were really perfect and absolutely clean. It was very quiet despite the holiday season - pure relaxation. I will definitely be a repeat visitor.

Camping Talsperre Pöhl-Gunzenberg is idyllically situated in a low mountain range landscape by the Pöhl Dam in Saxony. Campers will find everything they need for a successful and varied holiday here. The site with its sloping terrain has 126 parcelled pitches, six rental accommodations and 700 pitches for permanent campers. 25 comfort pitches offer direct water, waste water and electricity connections. Free WLAN is available to campers throughout the site. The reservoir can be reached via a short hiking trail. On its shore, a 500 metre long beach with adjoining sunbathing lawn invites you to swim. Windsurfing is also permitted on the lake. The modern sanitary facilities are barrier-free and also have facilities for babies and children. Self-catering guests can buy groceries in the on-site grocery shop and use the covered cooking facilities. There is also a restaurant catering for campers, while the bread roll service guarantees a successful breakfast with a view of the lake. If you want to explore the area around the campsite, hire a bike or e-bike on site and take a tour around the dam or discover the hilly low mountain range landscape of the Vogtland on long-distance routes such as the Elsterradweg. Visits to the climbing forest, where there are ten courses to conquer and a cable car leads directly over the dam, also promise an eventful holiday for the whole family.
