Sanitary facilities insufficient, very old and primitive

The place is very natural in a small forest. There is a fire pit and a few simple play equipment for children. You walk a few minutes to the lake on a public side road. The young lady at the reception was very friendly. The problem with this campsite is the sanitary facilities. To describe the sanitary facilities as outdated would be flattering. What you find here is the standard of a youth holiday camp in the 1960s. There is only one sanitary cabin with toilet + shower + sink and mirror. Plus a few toilets and a few showers without sinks. And all of this in - to put it charmingly - a very simple execution.

Old, loud, and expensive

Outdated sanitary facilities, neglected grounds, loud. The showers can be used unlimitedly if the right mixing ratio has been found. Unlit paths and partially uneven. WLAN only available in the reception area.

Great campsite, good for kids

We called spontaneously and despite the busy campsite got a good spot. The service and disposal are top-notch, by the way the chemical toilet is also found behind the service building. There are plenty of play opportunities, fire and grill spots, and the showers and toilets are very clean. The young ladies at the reception helped us very kindly with all our concerns. This campsite with all its amenities is simply recommendable. We will come back, also because of the proximity to the Vätern beach and Jönköping.

Great Transit Site

Friendly, clean, but no disposal for the chemical toilet. 30€ for a camper van with shower, electricity, dog, etc. Included. Individual shower and toilet cabins 👌🏼 However, only 3 showers for the entire site. I always had one available immediately, but the site was only 1/3 full when we were there. Would stop there again.

Insider Tip

Small campsite in a great location. Distance to the lake is about 5 minutes depending on where you are. The sanitary facilities are all clean. Very quiet and idyllic. We will definitely come back. Ps: The power connections are standard sockets, not CEE.

Family-friendly site with a somewhat audible busy road
Superb10

The operator (a friendly and uncomplicated Dutch speaker) currently lives at the reception. The facility is honest, simple, and clean. Socket, fresh, gray, and black water, waste, kitchen, shower (cabins with toilet), Wi-Fi (only in the main building) and children's playgrounds are free of charge and easily accessible. The site is divided into several sections with trees, which contributes to the coziness. Unfortunately, the road is quite audible with the right wind. Nevertheless, we had a good rest. The lake is nearby, and you can rent rowboats and canoes. We found the price of SEK 290 (May 2019) a bit high, but for what is offered, it is okay. Definitely worth seeing is probably the most spectacular wooden church in Sweden.

This is a beautiful clean family business in a very nice location. The campsite is about 100 m from Lake Venern, a marina is also nearby.
