About
Holidaymakers can enjoy a fantastic view of the sea from many of the pitches at Camping Stella Mare, which is laid out in terraces. It is located in the popular seaside resort of Lacona on the island of Elba. Both the wide sandy beach of Lacona and the steep bay of Canata are within walking distance. Maccia, pine and eucalyptus trees grow on the campsite. Just 20 metres from the beach is the 20-metre-long outdoor pool, which is framed by an artificial sandy beach. There is also a children's pool on the family-friendly site. The playground near the entrance area is a favourite meeting place for the youngest guests. Holidaymakers can experience deep relaxation during their stay in Lacona with a massage, which is offered at the campsite for a fee.

Top Campsite in a Great Location

Camping Stella Mare on the island of Elba is a beautifully located campsite in the bay of Lacona. The site offers pitches of all kinds, from tents to motorhomes or large caravans. Many pitches have a sea view, which is simply beautiful. We had an exclusive pitch in Zone 1 with a sea view, which was very large and allowed for easy setup of our caravan. No cars are allowed on the entire site, contributing to a relaxed atmosphere where no car is driving around constantly, and children can move around the site without fear. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained and clean, with regular cleaning staff on duty. Of course, it also depends on the visitors themselves to not behave like pigs. The staff is friendly and helpful and tries to assist if there is a problem. On the premises, there is a bar, a small market, and a restaurant. The bar offers small dishes and drinks of all kinds. The market has everything you need at reasonable prices, not cheap but also not totally overpriced. There is also an animation team that offers various programs, such as snorkeling, kayaking, surfing courses, childcare at the beach, and much more. The location is perfect right at the sandy beach; a few steps and you are by the sea. The bay is very suitable for snorkeling or stand-up paddleboarding. The water is very shallow, great for children to swim and play. During the high season, the beach is quite crowded, but you can always find a little spot. At the other end of the site, there is also a beach with pebbles (swimming shoes recommended), which can be reached via a steep staircase. We can recommend the site; in the end, everyone must form their own opinion.

Endless Animation

The square is very beautiful, however, loud animations take place every evening. Here at the square and in the pubs that border the square. It is acoustically unbearable.

Great campsite in a picturesque bay

We had an exclusive parking spot with an indescribably great view of the beach and the Lacona bay. However, it was also very close to the bar, so it was quite loud until late at night. It's better to choose a spot a bit further away. The sanitary facilities were fine and mostly clean, but it also largely depends on the guests. The small shop had fresh rolls in the morning, a small selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The restaurant was very tasty. Wi-Fi is only available in designated areas. We had almost no mobile reception. Children's activities were in Italian, but it didn't bother our children at all! We would gladly come back, but prefer a parking spot a bit further away from the action.

Nice staff, small grocery store with reasonable prices, toilets clean but old and no soap or disinfectant dispensers available! No water refilling stations outside the sanitary facilities and Wi-Fi only in the area of the reception and bar

Great facility! Terrible children's entertainment!

Great facility in a nice location. The sanitary facilities are quite old but clean. If you're unlucky, you might get a small parking spot. However, there are really fantastic parking spots, reservation is recommended. The entertainment for children in the evenings is mostly silly and completely Italian. The kids don't really mind that. Otherwise, you can go paddling, trekking, and snorkeling with a guide. You can really discover good spots here, it's worth it. The pool is really nice, but simple. For the most part, you are also spared from entertainment here, thumbs up for that! The janitor is lovingly managed and very well organized. The restaurant is worth a visit. Good wines, good food, unfortunately, too small tables. When the evening antics are over, the place is very quiet and you also find a very nice audience.

The site has access to several beaches (including a dog beach), also a small pool and a good restaurant. Unfortunately, cars are not allowed on the site. The restaurant is good, and the shop is also great. The site is not exactly cheap; all in all, we really enjoyed the vacation.

Great, charming campsite! Many pitches with sea views, nice cove for swimming within walking distance, clean sanitary facilities (which unfortunately are a bit far away depending on the pitch...) and a good restaurant!!!
