Nice and cozy. We are traveling with an Alpenkreuzer, a folding tent on a trailer. Unfortunately, the location was with coarse gravel. Fortunately, we could cover the ground a bit. The sanitary facilities are kept very clean. There are many leisure activities possible. However, you have to buy at the snack bar if you need something. As a recommendation, take the essentials for sale. We will come back.

Good thing we weren't there on the weekend. The weekends are apparently packed, especially since day visitors also have access to the entire campsite. Furthermore, there are constantly (from around 7:00) bulldozers, delivery vehicles, and other staff driving with cars across the site. Back exit with dog only leads outside continuously, no chance of getting back in, the turnstile is too narrow with a dog. No ADAC discount available.

Surroundings top - Campsite flop

September 2022

We spent a week at the campsite in autumn. Regarding the campsite itself: - The pitches are too small, you are packed closely together - Some pitches have coarse gravel, which is supposed to help with muddy ground. However, it is coarse railway ballast and is very uncomfortable to walk on, and if the awning is set up on it, shoes always have to be worn. - It is nearly impossible to get pegs into the gravel (even screw pegs) - Water is far away - Depending on the pitch, you need 30m of cable, but 16 amps are great - The sanitary buildings are older but were clean. I don’t know if that’s still the case in peak season - Showers are now free and have good pressure - The highway is easily heard - The site is very quiet in the off-peak season, with only a few day visitors Conclusion about the campsite: We cannot understand where the campsite gets its 4 stars from, as stated on the website. Surroundings: - The lake is beautiful, but in summer (according to permanent campers) it is overcrowded because it is public - Dogs are not allowed in the swimming area of the lake, but there are places where they can go in and there is also grass - The summer toboggan run is inexpensive and a highlight for children - The mini-golf course is one of the best we have seen so far and it’s a lot of fun to play there (costs extra) - The shop and beach bar are closed in the off-peak season All in all, we probably won’t come back to camp. However, as a day visitor for the surroundings, the visit is worth it.

The campsite is located directly on the A4 motorway. Therefore, there is no talk of tranquility. The catering, despite the change of operators in 2019, is absolutely inadequate. This is already an insult. On the adjacent beach road, which also leads to the service area of the reservoir, speeding is rampant. Every day at 4 o'clock in the morning, one is woken up by a speeding delivery van servicing the site. Simply terrible. Especially the staff of the camping facility. The maintenance of the facility's own hedges is left to the permanent campers. Discussions with the campsite management are fruitless. All in all, not recommended!

The place is okay if you ignore flunkyball and the loud audience! Power boxes are far apart requiring more than 20 meters of cable ;-( Okay for one night.
