Spontaneously, we landed here and were kindly welcomed in the restaurant and informed about the procedure upon arrival in the absence of the management. A notice informs about the occupancy, and from when free spots can be booked. If this is in the future, you may "take over" this spot and "keep" it until the booked time. We liked it very much. As mentioned, there is a restaurant on site, the sanitary facilities are clean, showers are included in the price, waste and water disposal at the entrance, electricity at the site, Ammersee a stone's throw from the site. We were only there for one night, so no further information. And always remember, RV drivers greet each other.

Family-run Campsite Directly on Lake Ammer

Very good8

June 2023

Positive: Very clean sanitary facilities located in the adjacent lakeside restaurant. Friendly service, access to the lake with trailerable sailing dinghies via the slipway of a nearby sailing club. Highly recommended restaurant with a wonderful lake view. Good for RVs and trailers, but challenging for tent camping due to gravel ground. Needs improvement: Little shade, but deciduous trees have already been planted. The site is quite small, the parcels are small but sufficient. Some tolerance towards fellow campers is required. Narrow access. No supply options on site, but several supermarkets within a few kilometers.

A pitch that is very close to the water, a very small, family-run site, great restaurant, shared toilet/shower facilities. No direct shopping options, but these are located in the village, very quiet.

Positive: Good restaurant next to the square. Clean new sanitary facilities. Management friendly and cooperative. Negative: The site is overall small and unadorned, pitches are cramped. Too expensive for what it is (Munich surcharge?)

More infos about Camping St. Alban

Boaters love to explore the Ammersee from the water on holiday at the St. Alban campsite. Couples and families with children also love the well-kept site with its numerous play and leisure facilities.

Perfect conditions for active holidaymakers and those seeking relaxation

The St. Alban campsite in Dießen is nestled in the idyllic natural landscape of the Bavarian Alpine foothills. The 44 well-kept pitches are located on a 0.6 hectare meadow. Numerous trees and shrubs provide privacy. Guests can reach the 20 metre wide and 50 metre long sunbathing lawn directly on the shore of Lake Ammersee in just a few steps. Here holidaymakers can relax by the lake. The 47 km² body of water is not only ideal for swimming, but also for boating. Due to the excellent wind conditions, sailors and surfers feel particularly at home here. The St. Alban campsite is also an ideal starting point for hikes. Families love the 2.5 km long Burgwald nature trail with 14 interesting interactive stations on the topic of "Forest habitat".

Friendly atmosphere right by the lake

Motorhome drivers and tent campers feel welcome on the well-kept site from the very first minute. Depending on capacity, guests can even choose their own pitch. The short distances to the clean sanitary facilities with disabled access are also a source of enthusiasm. Holidaymakers also have the option of using a washing machine and tumble dryer, and the lakeside restaurant, which serves fresh pizza from the stone oven, fresh fish and pasta dishes, is also highly praised.
