I had booked for 6 days and arrived one day early, which was also confirmed to me over the phone. I even received the same pitch. However, I had to pay 62 € for this additional night, while the regular nights cost 42 € per day - an absolutely outrageous and unfair surcharge. Moreover, there were large fluctuations in the electricity on the site. Even though I had booked 10 A (for an additional 5 € per night), my refrigerator kept switching from electricity to gas. For a modern campsite, this is unacceptable. Additionally, there were extremely many dogs on the site, which noticeably affected the noise level. Conclusion: Unfortunately, no recommendation from me. The price-performance ratio does not match here at all.

Very nice campsite. The sanitation was cleaned multiple times a day and was therefore very clean. A small shop is available. Very friendly staff. Very good restaurant on site with Italian dishes. Partial Wi-Fi. Satellite reception is only available at some spots due to tree coverage.

Manageable campsite without a water connection. Railway line and road can be heard, not very disturbing. Sanitary facilities too small, not always clean, warm water not available during peak times, also not for rinsing. Restaurant is quite good compared to the mini-market. As a non-dog owner, one could come to the realization that this is a dog training ground, due to the lack of options, all droppings remain on the site - absolute no-go. Water quality of the lake is very poor. Immediate surroundings are dead and unattractive.

Pitch in the 1st row directly at the lakeshore, clean toilets and showers and well-maintained. Dog-friendly! Reception with German language skills and very helpful. Bus connections to Stresa or Arona with a large offering of gastronomy and shopping are good. Restaurant directly at the site with reasonable prices. No water supply at the pitch. Private beach with sun loungers. The place is very small and not very touristy (very beautiful), but also has few alternatives for gastronomy/bars/cafés. 1 supermarket about 1.1 km away with a good selection.

The CP has a lady at the reception who speaks German and helps wherever she can. Uncomplicated handling of the reception and later of the farewell. I had a power cable problem, which was solved unconventionally by the site's technicians. They didn't want to be paid, so a beer was offered. The site, the pitches, the sanitary facilities, everything was spick and span clean. Short distances to the sanitary building and to the beach, which was a bit narrow but absolutely sufficient. The restaurant on site offered well-prepared, delicious dishes at a reasonable price. We would have liked to stay longer, but unfortunately there is very little infrastructure in Solcio, so when it rains you can't just stroll around; there is nothing to stroll. You have to take the bus to Stresa, and the last bus back leaves quite early in the evening. Nevertheless, I can recommend this campsite, very quiet and relaxing, great staff...

The tranquil Camping Solcio on Lake Maggiore offers peace and relaxation amidst the picturesque Alpine panorama of northern Italy. Surrounded by many deciduous trees, the extremely family-friendly site is also characterised by a small sandy beach, which is particularly inviting for sunbathing and swimming in the warm summer months. Numerous excursion and hiking destinations in the region round off an unforgettable stay at the campsite.
Camping Solcio is located in the Italian region of Piedmont in the province of Novara, directly on Lake Maggiore. The site is located on the west coast of the northern Italian lake and is just 100 metres from the next largest town, Solcio di Lesa. The village has more than 2,200 inhabitants and offers a number of architectural sights with various villas from the Middle Ages and early modern times. All pitches at Camping Solcio are parcelled out and are between 70 and 100 m² in size, offering plenty of space. On the entire site, which is comparatively small at just under two hectares, there are also 18 rental accommodations and six pitches for permanent campers. The campsite is equipped with everything you need to wash your clothes during your stay. Campers will also find a small snack bar and a restaurant serving traditional Italian delicacies on the site, so you don't have to worry about catering yourself. There is fast and free WiFi throughout the site, and holidaymakers can also use the public computers in the internet corner. Overall, there is a friendly and informal atmosphere at the resort, which makes it easy to socialise with other guests and immediately feel at home.
There are numerous sights around Lake Maggiore that can be reached quickly either by car or public transport. One of the most famous buildings in the region is the Santa Caterina del Sasso monastery, but the Vecchia dedicata a Santa Maria church is also worth a visit. The nearby peaks of the Alps are ideal for long hikes in the summer months, while the mountain slopes become a paradise for skiers and snowboarders in winter. On Lake Maggiore itself, active holidaymakers can let off steam with windsurfing and other water sports. The fashion and culture city of Milan can be reached by car in just over an hour.
