Good camping site with dog
Very good8

The campsite is located right by the crystal-clear Plansee and has a nice lawn with an extra dog beach. In just a few minutes' walk, you reach the east side of the lake, which is not as crowded on hot days as the west side. Two restaurants are within walking distance, but for shopping, you have to drive about 15 minutes. The WiFi and the selection at the kiosk were not so good.

Beautiful Place

The site is very beautifully located right by the lake. The pitches are very small, no water and sewage at the pitch. There is a small playground and a small playroom available. For a week, it's great but I wouldn’t want to spend 2 weeks there. You can go hiking and climbing; we had a free taster course. All in all, it is highly recommended.

Very friendly and nice reception. Beautiful place, directly by the lake with a very large sunbathing area, separate dog beach. Sanitary facilities are very clean. All in all, highly recommended.

Very nice and very clean site

We were there for an extended weekend in early October. Very beautifully situated, a dream! The washroom was very clean and very warm. Unfortunately, we only had rain, and the water stood in the tent. Wi-Fi was very unstable. Conclusion: We would come back if the Wi-Fi is stable!

Attention: Showers and shower room cold

Lake Plansee and the surrounding area are really beautiful. The dog beach and the playground for children are also very nice. However, the campsite is not recommended in bad weather: our entire tent entrance was under water (this cannot drain due to a lack of drainage), there is a new, modern building with sanitary facilities, but they were terribly cold and the water in the showers did not become even remotely warm (taking a shower without goosebumps is not possible there) and the remaining toilet buildings are outdated and cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Attention: The restaurants in the area close the warm kitchen at 8 PM. Conclusion: It’s better to make a day trip here on a nice day.

First the positive: beautiful panorama, good cleaning staff, nice reception staff. Now to my headline. I have rarely experienced something so bad in 28 years of camping in Europe and America. Organization is non-existent. Way too cramped; every centimeter is filled with another ‘squeezed’ guest. In some places, there is not even a meter of distance between caravans or campers. Fire safety?! Even next to the garbage and the wastewater disposal, guests are placed directly. On the tent field, maybe attention should be paid to the size of the tents rather than just the number of parking spaces; it seems to be aimed at smaller tents. Kiosk staff unfriendly. They tell a different story every day. If you want to rent a canoe, they are reserved, which is completely fine. What’s not fine is that when you want to reserve the next day, reservations are supposedly not possible. Additionally, the new washroom is full of mold, even though the cleaning staff supposedly ventilate regularly; it seems to be another issue? The site is totally overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately, it seems that having a nice vacation has taken a back seat and the numbers come to the forefront; at least that’s how it appears. The owner is lucky that the beautiful landscape makes many blind to the things that are simply impossible!
