Camping Schloss Podewils

Unfortunately, our family stay turned out to be a huge disappointment. We traveled with our family hoping for a peaceful and successful vacation. The area around the hotel is really beautiful – plenty of greenery, lovely landscapes, and a very pleasant environment. This is definitely the biggest plus of this place. Unfortunately, the room and its condition fell far short of our expectations. We documented the issues with photos, and based on them, we filed a complaint and decided to shorten our stay. However, what disappointed us the most was the subsequent correspondence with the hotel. The hotel questioned the photos we submitted, stating they were taken after our departure and that there is no certainty that they represent our room. We find it hard to understand such an approach – the photos were sent precisely to document our reported concerns. The manner in which our remarks were addressed also left a very bad impression.

Very quiet place. Unfortunately, the premium spot by the water is also next to the path, allowing ‘onlookers’ to enjoy. Consider choosing the second row. At about 30 euros per night, the sanitary facilities simply do not match. A shower without a sink for everyone and a shared toilet with a sink next to it. Old, narrow, and not very clean. At least there’s no daily cleaning. A clean sanitary container would save everything.

Great location by the lake next to an old castle. However, this has also aged a bit from the outside. But the pitches are very nice with a direct view of the lake. Water and 16 Amp electric connection are available. Sanitary facilities... are meager and old. But clean. 1 toilet, shower, sink for everyone. This is no longer up to date.

This campground is an absolute dream. We are standing on a beautiful green meadow right by the lake next to the castle. Super idyllic and here you can absolutely unwind from everyday life. If you like nature and peace, this is the place for you! The food at the castle restaurant is also top-notch. In short, the price/performance ratio is 100 percent accurate. Gabi and Armin

The place is beautiful. We were there in April and received a very friendly welcome and were looked after by a very nice gentleman who speaks German. The premium pitches, with water, electricity, and gray water disposal, are located directly by the lake. The others are a bit further up, but also with a view of the lake. You can walk around the lake and also through the forest. A small shop is easily reachable on foot. We stayed here for 5 days... longer than planned... we felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back.
