The location is right by the lake. The bike path goes right past it as well as several hiking trails. Overall, a super nice area if you like mountains and want an active vacation. We had an XXL parking space at the gate on the left, so it wasn't by the lake. The parking space felt more like a parking lot and wasn’t really XXL either, but I was just focused on maneuvering the caravan. If we were to come again, I would book a spot by the lake. I find the concept good, the ambiance with the terrace and the restaurant in the middle is very appealing. But now to the absolute no-go: the sanitary facilities are clearly too few. Probably not more is possible. But then the few that exist must also be clean. I never found a clean sink, the floor was always dirty. I also mentioned it at the reception. Of course, it's hard to find good staff. But then as an operator, you also have to step in!

Only place at Schliersee - that's why we won't see the lake again! Tight driving in the area. Parking spaces far too small - that's why you park too close. Too few toilets for the number of parking spaces. Even though much has been written about the railway: it's just not acceptable. The train whistles in front of the level crossing until late at night and early in the morning it starts again. Beautiful surroundings for hiking or biking.

Positive: - Access to the lake or location by the lake - Good starting point for cycling and hiking - SUB rental on-site - Simple sun loungers everywhere on the beach - Online booking: easy and uncomplicated; payment possible with Paypal. - Food and drink offerings. Tastes good! - Bread roll service from 8 am Negative: - Campsites and driveways are very tight without separation from the neighbor, very close together. - Many day guests who stay on the site, eat, and swim - The restaurant and bread rolls have steep prices - The site is relatively expensive (per night with van and two people 48 € + electricity!) - The sanitary facilities are a disaster: toilets and washrooms are very cramped, poorly ventilated, and unclean. One was basically standing close together every morning and evening with very little space. Strange and rarely experienced. - The predominantly young day bathers and day restaurant guests additionally use these toilets. - Way too few showers for the number of campsites!!!!! (four for women, one of which was defective throughout our stay). - Additionally, the entire washroom was under water for two days. One was practically standing in the shower water of the ladies, which didn’t drain in all three showers. 😭 - Cleaning is done once a day… It is rumored that the lack of hygiene could be due to the fact that the site is practically in male hands and all employees (including the employed ladies) are still very young and "extremely relaxed". There may be a lack of ambition and/or attention. - The reception opens only at 08:30 am (???). This means that departure is possible only at half-past eight. Those who want to set off early are well advised to pay the night before. However, the power plug must also be pulled shortly before going to pay. Billing is done by kWh. - Those needing to go to the toilet at night should bring a light. Otherwise, it becomes critical and dangerous. You can’t see your hand in front of your face. Hardly any lighting. - The train that passes by the campsite day and night is loud. It also gives several really loud toots between just after 5 am and 11 pm, because there are several unguarded railway crossings nearby. We were told that one gets used to it. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to do that :) Conclusion: There is still much room for improvement. However, those who don’t have such high demands and are more "chill" will be satisfied here. The staff is nice and relaxed :) Basically, the clientele is mixed. Naturally, the only campsite in the vicinity. One inevitably gets the impression that the site should appeal to a specific clientele. One stumbles across terms like vegan, yoga, chill... mostly, you find young hipster families who allow their children to dance on the tables and be loud as if the place belonged entirely to them. Even a few dogs curled up under the tables :) (Maybe we just had a bit of bad luck with the mix of people, but it was quite noticeable). We assume that the operators still need to find their way and that everything else will gradually fall into place. Possibly a second sanitary house will be built and a few lamps will be set up. That would be a good start! Too expensive - the price-performance ratio just doesn’t match at all. We will not come back and wish everyone the best!!🍀

A fantastic campsite, easy to book online and the site is fixed. The access was very easy, very friendly reception at check-in. The site is gravelled, so it stays dry at the camper even in the rain. I booked a site by the lake, great view of the water and Schliersee. The power connection was right at the site, billed according to kWh, so according to consumption, which is great, no expensive flat rate, showers are included in the price, laundry and sanitary facilities were clean. There is also a bread delivery service. You can reach Schliersee on foot in about 15 minutes. A round around the lake is also recommended. The restaurant offers pizza, burgers, and bowls for everyone... I will gladly come back...

We had relaxed and restful days at this idyllic campsite. Even with a dog, we were able to access the water with SUPs. Everyone, from small to large, was warmly welcomed. The restaurant has great cuisine. We were very satisfied; everyone was very courteous and friendly. We would love to come back. The train only honks once an hour during the day, and for us, it was just part of the experience.

A very beautiful place right by the Schliersee, the sanitary facilities are adequate and clean, nice bistro with delicious cakes and dishes. The pitches are not very large but sufficient, choose the right size when booking, then it will fit. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you're looking for luxury, you are certainly in the wrong place. If you are looking for peace, beautiful hiking trails, SUP boarding or cycling, you are well taken care of here. We will come back.

We were there with our camper van, parking spot directly by the lake, very nice view. WC and shower clean and sufficiently available, the campsite was not fully booked, nice bistro with bread roll service and delicious food, staff overall very nice, beach bar was closed (bad weather), spots are rather small but sufficient, overall the site makes a good impression, thermal spa nearby, nice walks and hikes possible, train traffic did not disturb us... We would come back but prefer a parking spot near the lake when booking.

The playground is of course a favourite with children, while the directly accessible shore of Lake Schliersee is a popular meeting place for all age groups. When the weather is fine, you can relax on the large sunbathing lawn and enjoy a refreshing dip in the water. A boat trip on the lake is also highly recommended. Alternatively, there are several options on the lakeshore for hiring small electric boats, pedalos or rowing boats for private excursions. Just as attractive as the lake itself is the surrounding countryside, which is popular for nature excursions. With an easy distance of just 2 kilometres, a hike to the Huberspitz Alm is an excellent way to enjoy spectacular views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The village of Schliersee also offers something for all tastes and weather conditions with a summer toboggan run, the local history museum and the Vitalwelt thermal spa.
