The staff is friendly and the place is stunningly located. The sanitary facilities are disastrous (mold, shower heads, toilets, cobwebs, and spiders). What hit us the most was the party noise on the site during the extended weekend. With children, it is unbearable here with music from noon until night. Nothing is done about this by the campsite.

Due to the many good reviews, we chose this really "nice" campsite for a weekend. Unfortunately, the site we booked online was very far from a power supply, about 60m away, so we had to switch to another site. The site seemed very unkempt to us. At the top of the campsite, there was utter chaos, a strong smell of urine/excrement everywhere and "PARTY'S: There is only one shower house at the entrance for this rather large campsite. That's how I can imagine Ballermann!

The often mentioned proximity to the city, the beautiful nature, the very clean sanitary facilities (showers here without coins!) and the nearby free swimming pool for campers are several positive points that I can also confirm. What has been/is problematic for me is the high number of permanent campers, beside or among whom you find yourself - with constant (since alternating) lawn mowing & trimming, leaf blowing & vacuuming, as well as jigsaw work and drilling. We’ve been here for 4 days now and both outside and during quiet hours, you feel like you are in a small garden area with a handful of pitches. Personally, I don’t mind since I’m only spending 4 days here - anyone who wants to spend their annual holiday here should at least take these circumstances into account beforehand. Best regards! Ronny

The campsite is run by very nice and helpful staff from the city of Gemünden who do a great job. The sanitary facilities are clean. The adjacent swimming pool is ideal for young and old. The city is quickly reachable on foot, where there are nice shops and restaurants. The surrounding area can be well explored on foot, by bike or by public transport. The individual plots at the campsite are well laid out and provide sufficient space.

We really like the place because the pitches are on large meadow areas without partitions. The sanitary facilities are good, you can canoe and paddle on the Saale. Nice bike paths and centrally located. Welan has improved but unfortunately the electricity is very expensive.

Campsite with super clean sanitary facilities and free access to the adjacent outdoor swimming pool. The campsite is close to the city center.

We particularly liked the quick orientation onto the field. Additionally, the clean facilities and the variety of activities for children.
