A small, beautiful place. Nothing extraordinary, but simply super nice location, arranged in terraces, amidst trees, a watercourse. Nothing for people who need luxury, just camping in nature like before. The sanitary facilities were simple, but clean. The management was super nice and accommodating. When people misbehaved, it was, in my opinion, responded to just right with clear statements. In that sense, I can only recommend ignoring the grumbling comments here. Those who go camping and can't do without a television, etc., should go elsewhere. The only downside to the holiday, the restaurants in the area are - unlike Monschau (delicious the rhubarb pie at Hüftgold!!) - either boring (pea soup, fries, dry cake) or fully booked. So, plan on self-catering ;).

Just like another reviewer here, we were scolded by the owner for having our dog and were told to leave the place. Of course, after we had set everything up. She even threatened to call the local authorities. While our dog was on a leash and behaving perfectly fine, unleashed dogs were running around everywhere causing stress. Even the owner's dogs were causing stress. In front of the gate, it's very steep, and chaos quickly ensues when you want to check in at the reception while others want to leave at the same time. The site is actually very beautiful, but the owner completely ruins it all. As can be seen in the photos, the sanitary facilities are from the 70s or 80s, which makes the prices absolutely outrageous. 50 € per night for a family of 4 is simply not justified. We will not return.

The place is beautifully located in nature. You can explore the area well on foot or by bike. On the second day, I met the owner with my dog. Her dogs barked at my dog, and then the lady directly told me that my dog is not welcome and normally should not be allowed on the premises. However, my dog is not a dangerous breed, I explained. He is a Miniature Bull Terrier. She didn’t care, and I was told that I should not actually be here. So, on one hand, we were not asked about the breed of our dog in advance, and on the other hand, there was no indication anywhere. €60 for 2 days and then not even a friendly reminder of the mistake. People who sort animals or breeds into good and bad categories are superficial, and even though we are not allowed, I will not support these people! Absolutely UNFRIENDLY.

Access is quite steep and winding. Reception is nice. No shop for small items available. The site is unfortunately problematic in rainy weather as it gets muddy. And when grass clippings mix in, it creates an unfortunate alliance. Unfortunately, there is no Wi-Fi, and since the network also doesn't really work, one is truly in nature. Starting point for wonderful hiking tours. For 2 people with a camper for 2 days, €71 is a bit pricey. Additional shower €1; shower time is sufficient. Bathroom and toilet are basic but clean. Heating is via electric storage heaters, which were of course not in operation. Investment would not be harmful.

A wonderfully lovingly run place right by the Rursee. I haven't been greeted so friendly and sympathetically in a long time, and anyone looking for nature and peace is exactly right here. We would love to come back again...
