Site
Extensive, sometimes hilly terrain on a large, park-like peninsula within a recreational area. Close to the beach, with a mixture of forest and rocks. Also offers flat, asphalted pitches for caravans and motorhomes.

Access route
Follow the signs towards the port (Satama) on the E18 first. Continue following the small camping symbol and "Pori/ E18" for 10 km. Shortly after, you will see larger signs with the inscription Ruissalo.

Quietly located and tidy
Quietly located and clean site, ideal starting point for city sightseeing, as the bus stops directly at the site. All pitches with power connection, sanitary facilities in the back area of the site are new and top-notch.

Practical, but not optimal
Ruissalo is the beach of the city of Turku, very nicely located, but quite busy in the summer. The sanitary facilities are okay and apparently have been remodeled a bit, but we found the cleaning times in the mornings very impractical (between 8 and 9 nothing was possible). Not recommendable at all
The campsite itself was beautifully located in terms of scenery. But the sanitary facilities were very poor: rotten, rusty, and anyone could look through a large gap in the door into the toilets. 3 toilets, 2 showers for many guests. Kitchen also rotten, smell. Unfriendly staff.

- Very good overnight spot before or after ferry crossings, due to the proximity to the ferry terminal. - Very spacious area where tents are not crushed by motorhomes/caravans.
