We are here every winter for a few weeks. As always, everything is fine. Yes, sometimes dogs bark around us. It has not bothered us in any way. For those who find the plots too small, they can book a double plot for a modest extra charge. We always do that. Beautiful hikes above the cliffs (about 3 km drive). Renovation/moderation of the sanitary buildings in the older, front part of the campsite has begun.

I was out with 3 dogs, but the dogs in the neighborhood / estates around the campsite barked all night long. It was very annoying. The facility was clean, the restaurant was closed as well as the pool. Luckily, we were only there for 1 night.

We used the campsite for three nights. Quite narrow plots but generous access roads. Sanitary building is okay, clean but somewhat aged. Satellite reception is possible only in a few specific spots because of many trees. Wi-Fi is good. Little choice for motorhomes over 7m. No gas bottle exchange available. Unfortunately, there’s not much to discover. Conclusion: Suitable only for transit.

December 2022
We spent a few weeks here in winter after a 2-year break. Unlike in previous years, the place was very well occupied; many winterers. Those who did not make reservations have to take what is left. Many pitches are too small to fit a medium-sized caravan with awning and towing vehicle (but you can book a double plot for a reasonable extra charge). The trees planted years ago have grown vigorously, and even though deciduous species were chosen, some campers with permanently installed satellite antennas envy our tripod flexibility. It's a shame there was no restaurant operation anymore - only bar service and a small snack from the grocery store (until 7 PM). Wine was sold in a plastic shot glass and beer in a plastic cup. This deterred us from further attempts, and we stuck to the gastronomy at the Conil-Corso and the port of Conil. Where the little shop used to be, there is now a lounge with a rich selection of books. Overall, we were quite satisfied again.

We know the place from several winter stays and made our first stop here at the end of May/beginning of June for a few days during a tour of Spain in early summer. Unlike in winter, the site was hardly occupied. The beautiful outdoor pool and bar were open. There was nothing to complain about regarding the sanitary facilities both in the old and the newer parts of the site. The well-kept site with its many palm trees and blooming oleander is pleasing to the eye. The nearest beach cove "Cala del Aceite" is a good 3 km walk. Parking is officially not allowed there. No one observed this - neither did we (probably different in high season). A beach gastronomy is being set up for the season there (was already in operation). A little further to the right at the harbor, there are several nice swimming coves with official parking options. The Atlantic water offered wonderful swimming fun at already 20 degrees. Conil de la Frontera itself offers all shopping opportunities, diverse gastronomy, and a wide, seemingly endless beach - at low tide, ideal for extensive beach walks on solid sand. We were certainly not here for the last time.

We have known this place for about 15 years and returned here after a 5-year break. Friendly, helpful staff. Casually occupied - that's how we like it. Many hiking opportunities on foot or by bike in close proximity: above and below the cliffs, along the wide beach of Conil... We also enjoyed one of the offered weekly day trips (e.g., to Gibraltar). To finish off, a delicious Valentine's Day menu with great live music in the nice restaurant. We prefer spots in the front area, even though the washrooms there are open and unheated and it can be quite fresh in the mornings (but the showers are powerful and wonderfully hot).

Bourgeois, rural, a bit like a holiday on the farm. 4 km outside and 3 km from the sea.
