Camping Robinson Country Club

We arrived and were initially appalled; my first thought was to stand on the street. But appearances can be deceiving; my wife advised patience and at least to seek a conversation with the owner. We were asked to drive the camper around the corner; it should be noted that anyone driving a camper longer than 7m should know what they are doing and bring some experience in handling their vehicle. The entrance is damn narrow and the trees hang low. The site in the background is very beautiful and offers a great view. As for check-in, there’s a brief process and, upon request, the owner himself prepares a fantastic meal at a fair price with a hearty portion. Overall, there is certainly still an ongoing construction phase, but the result is already well recognizable; something wonderful is being created here. The sanitary facilities were just finished enough for us to use. We were very satisfied even after the initial shock and have decided to definitely stop there again next year.

The site is lovingly laid out with 2 lily ponds. The facility is terraced and oriented to the south. A small swimming pool is also located on the site. The sanitary building is small and has seen better days, but importantly, it is clean. According to the owner, he plans to completely renew the sanitary building at the end of the season. The camping operator speaks German, English, Hungarian, and Romanian. Upon check-in, the very friendly and helpful camping operator explains the facilities of the campsite and the sights of Orade. We were also just passing through and wanted to stay for only one night, but then decided to stay longer.

After conquering the rather narrow and steep road, you are welcomed by a very friendly host. He speaks Romanian, as well as English, Hungarian, and German. The place is lovingly designed. An outdoor seating area, fish pond, pool, clean sanitary facilities, and many plants from wallflowers to fruit trees make it cozy. However, the unbeatable highlight is the view from the parking spot over the campsite and the entire city. It's a shame that we only took the time to stay one night.
