The CHEF / owner Mr. Fritzsche is a disaster...

Aside from the weather during our vacation week, the holiday at Camping Riviera was a disaster. This means that the CHEF / owner Mr. Fritzsche is a great imposition and a pure catastrophe. The older gentleman is quickly overwhelmed, which guests experience daily. The CHEF is very unfriendly. Even places that are reserved in advance are not available upon arrival and instead, one gets a place next to the toilets or waste disposal. The sanitation facilities date back to 1950, and no euro is invested; the cleaning leaves much to be desired. Many facilities no longer function properly, and it is very loud on the camping even at night. We believe that the time for the CHEF Mr. Fritzsche and his family has run out, and he should sell the camping and retire. It is high time for that... Goodbye..

Very beautiful campsite right by the water

Located right by the lake, beautiful campsite not far from the promenade of Cannobio, reachable on foot in about 10 minutes. Good shopping options and restaurant on site. The pitches are well laid out, privacy is ensured, challenging for large vehicles. Dog-friendly. Point deduction for the sanitary facilities, which are outdated.

Beautiful place with severely outdated sanitary facilities

We are already here for the 14th time. The site is very clean and the plots are regularly maintained. The nighttime noise from the village is now quieter again, but almost every night. The boss is as he is. A good day isn't always guaranteed. The biggest problem is the sanitary facilities. These are currently cleaned once in the morning during the summer high season. The showers have hardly ever changed, and out of the 3 men's showers in the first washroom, one works fairly well. The other two have push buttons that do not work, or when the water is running, it stops after a maximum of 10 seconds. Women's showers similar. The push buttons on the urinal are hardly pressable. Toilets have paper until it runs out, then again the next morning. From our perspective, investment here is only in what brings in revenue. Too bad, because the nature on the site and the beach are very beautiful.

Chef, with dominance issues and ancient sanitary facilities!!

Anyone who feels comfortable with an unreasonable owner and sanitary facilities from the 70s should go there!!! In most showers, you cannot adjust the temperature! And anyone who wants to be there for 14 days might find that on the 11th day they supposedly have to move, even though it had been agreed for 14 days! This was communicated to us by the chef in a very dominant manner and when met with slight objections, he stated he could also ensure that we would need to disappear immediately!!! Now we also know why people in the surrounding area were almost piling up and why about 50% of the spots were empty there!!! This place will never see us again, even though we were there for the third time!

We have been to this campsite multiple times, and thought we would just give it another try. Despite the place being quite nice, we have decided never to go there again. We had an incident with our dog who got loose from its leash. A gentleman came by with his wife and dog next to our camper, and our dog just sniffed. He was kicked three times in the hip by the man and our grandson began to cry terribly. The owner came along and yelled at us verbally in such a way, even though nothing had happened. He was not present and gave us 1 hour to leave the campsite. In my opinion, it is unacceptable to take such measures without hearing both sides. He has repeatedly shown unfriendly behavior, even on that day with other people. Never again!!!

Beautiful but Noisy

Actually a beautiful campsite. There is plenty of shade and varied botany. The sanitary facilities are certainly not modern and have remained at the level of the early 90s, but they are clean. The BIG DISADVANTAGE (!!!) is the noise from the beach bar on the opposite riverbank. We had to pay the additional pitch fee for being close to the river, but the fact that you can't get any sleep at night is more than severe!!! If it were just a one-time party, that would be one thing. But four consecutive nights... And then loud music shaking the ground until 4:00 AM. INSANE and UNBEARABLE!!! Surely this can be heard throughout the entire campsite! Many neighbors on the site left early because of it. Very, very unfortunate! Otherwise, the location would be great, the restaurants delicious, and the mini-market excellent.
