Two stars, poor ADAC rating!!

Five stars only for hotel guests in the new building on the campsite. We booked a cabin/lodge and were disturbed every day by passing cars (extremely heavy traffic on the site). Leaking pipes in the bathroom, broken refrigerator, and a nonexistent electric charging station (charging stations in a public parking lot outside the site were broken): for this, we can only give 2 stars. One for the surroundings and one for the indoor pool. Once and never booked again! Shocking that the ADAC team evaluates this differently.

Unfortunately, the spot "Infested with flies" Currently, it is hardly bearable. Of course, the operator can do nothing about it. The holiday enjoyment is still maximally spoiled.

Fly infestation at rear premium spots. Not 4 stars

At the parking spot, there were very many flies in the back premium part of the parking area; sitting outside under the open awning was not possible. After a complaint, something was briefly sprayed, and it was claimed that we had brought it from somewhere. Ridiculous. After all, it's fly season. But so many flies that even the towing vehicle was full of them. We have already been to several parking spots, but I haven't even seen so many flies in a cow pasture. Neighbors have also complained, but there was no accommodation from the operator, neither for us nor for anyone else. That is quite brazen; one could have expected a concession.

The campsite is well equipped. In the sanitary area there are rooms with showers and toilets. The pool could be a little warmer. In winter, the sun shines for about 1 1/2 hours on the site :-(.

Everything very tidy and clean. In the premium area, there is a large parking space. A well-thought-out system at the power box/safe billing. Super clean sanitary facilities. Large spacious showers and rental cabins. However, these cost €15 per day, which we find expensive. In the sanitary building in the washing area, there is even a free washing machine (it only takes 5 minutes). The toilet cassette can be conveniently emptied and cleaned at a free terminal. Unfortunately, the gas cylinder exchange (gray bottle) was overpriced, and the situation was exploited since it would have been very far to the next hardware store. The food in the restaurant was very, very delicious and reasonably priced! In Prad, one can also shop well on foot.

we wanted to enjoy our well-deserved vacation again in this place. After the online booking, we were informed that the system unfortunately also books individual days as a week. Consequently, a less interesting site was offered. Despite the remark that we are arriving with a camper van with a trailer, this site is too small!! Despite this fact, a fee of 80.00 euros was retained for the cancellation. There were already inconveniences during the last stay.

Great owner-managed location, beautiful indoor pool, friendly staff, clean sanitation facilities. Currently a construction site at the location, but only a minor inconvenience.

Everything you need is there. Indoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, steam sauna, small shop for daily necessities. Super sanitary facilities. Staff is very friendly and helpful. For larger purchases, there is a SPAR market about 400 meters away. The food in the restaurant was very tasty. What more could you want? A completely successful vacation. We will come back.

Super rated campsite in South Tyrol between Ortler and the Ötztal Alps
Mobile travellers will find everything that makes camping pleasant at the quiet Camping Residence Sägemühle. Supply and disposal stations for motorhomes and cassette toilets are available. Modern machines are available in the launderette, also for drying. There is a separate sanitary room for children, as well as for wheelchair users. And even dogs are catered for, as they have their own shower. The childcare team provides an attractive programme and little adventures to keep the kids in the best camping mood, and they can also let off steam in the playground. There is also a paddling pool. This is built into the indoor pool, where the steam bath, sauna and whirlpool are ideal for relaxing. In addition, the WLAN signal can be received at each of the 130 pitches. This campsite west of Merano/Meran is extremely versatile and sociable. In addition to the fitness room and the multi-purpose pitch, there is a sports programme with gymnastics, group hikes and bike tours. As the Camping Residence Sägemühle is also used as a winter campsite, the service includes a storage room for winter sports equipment, a cross-country ski trail in front of the site and a shuttle bus to the nearest ski lift during the ski season.
Attractions in the west of South Tyrol
The owner family of this campsite offers the right tour through the Venosta Valley for every taste. Amusing tastings in a fruit distillery and a hearty breakfast with bread warm from the oven and fresh milk in a mountain hut are on offer. Tandem flights over the alpine landscape on a paraglider with an experienced pilot are also possible. The Stelvio Pass road, which climbs up to 2,750 metres, is considered one of the most charming panoramic routes in South Tyrol, which campers can explore on rental motorbikes. And those travelling during the ski season will love visiting the Advent markets in Meran or Mals, as well as the four first-class ski arenas within a radius of just 20 km. Ice skating is also a pleasure in the Prad sports zone, as well as on Lake Reschen. The latter is always an attraction because of its sunken church, whose bell tower stubbornly peers out of the water.
