Camping Reiterhof

The campsite is acceptable but in no way deserves a rating of 9.8. The pitches are functional but limited in space. Throughout the site, the pitches are minimal. You stand on gravel. There is no trace of a cozy pitch or ambiance. The view is indeed beautiful. There are no shopping facilities on site nor is there any culinary concept. Both of these aspects are essential for us for a site rated so highly. Due to the narrow paths and lack of play areas, the children always ride their kickboards on these narrow paths in the evenings. One sanitary building for two sections of the campsite is sufficient, but with only 7 toilets and showers for each gender, it is not oversized. Hot water in the washing area is also not available at all basins. Dogs are welcome on the site, but around the site they must mostly be kept on a leash.

We stayed here in September for 3 nights. The first time, but definitely not the last. Super clean, super well-kept, super friendly, just super. Dogs are welcome and there are also plenty of dog waste bags. The location is excellent, a swimming pool a few minutes walk away, including mini-golf and plenty for children. Some circular hiking trails also start there, and of course there are enough in the area. And if something goes wrong, it's not far to the Bergdoktor;-) I don’t usually like writing reviews, but since there’s really nothing to complain about here, I had to do it :-)

We came to Hopfgarten by chance, our regular camping site in this region was occupied. We were so impressed by the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities, the friendliness of the operators, and the value for money that after a few visits we decided to get a permanent pitch there. You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.
