Camping Poseidon Beach

Camping Poseidon is unfortunately only recommended at most in the month of May. We have been there for the umpteenth time and had booked a week. After 2 days we left again because the site was overcrowded with reckless long-term campers from North Macedonia. The toilets were all dirty and unacceptable. Furthermore, the last good spot is now also occupied by a long-term camper with a huge setup. Free view is no longer possible. As we have known this spot for 40 years, we can judge the development very well. It used to be a top spot.

The campsite has 17 pitches for tourists, of which 12 are in the front row by the beach. Unfortunately, these soften considerably in the rain. The rest of the space is occupied by permanent campers. All roads on the campsite are paved. The sanitary facilities are in order and have always been clean, as they are cleaned several times a day. The beach does not give a well-kept impression. Loungers and parasols are available for free. We did not visit the beach bar due to the weather. The reception was very friendly and nice. The ladies at the reception speak very good German. In the immediate vicinity there is everything you need: restaurants, bakers, butchers, grocery stores, etc. The rest of the staff is also very helpful. We enjoyed it.
