Camping Polari

We were at the campsite for 2 weeks this August, for the first time in Croatia. We booked a premium sea pitch online almost a year ago. When booking, there was no option to choose the exact pitch. Now you can either be lucky or unlucky in the allocation. We had 2 weeks of bad luck. In front of our caravan, facing the sea, there is a large volleyball court. All day free entertainment until midnight, indeed a premium spot. When we arrived at our pitch, it was already occupied by another caravan. There must have been a planning error in the guest's booking. However, the camping friend moved without any issues. Overall, there is still plenty of room for improvement for 5 ADAC stars. The fact that the beach consists of pebbles is simply the case in Croatia, but with the many large stones in the water, there are surely opportunities for improvement.

At the campsite, the toilets and showers are regularly cleaned and are mostly new. There is a good restaurant on site, but those who want to eat well and affordably can do so about 1 km before the campsite. I find the ice cream balls too expensive; you can get them cheaper nearby. The campsite is relatively large, but it has a very nice beach where you can also find plenty of shade. All in all, a very nice campsite. There is a very nice bike path to Rovinj from the campsite.

We were there as a stopover for three overnight stays. The positive thing is that the facility is very well kept. The pitch, Comfort Mare that we had, has a pleasant size. We were 30 seconds from the water, furthermore there is a bar and another restaurant. The other bar was still closed but will surely open in the coming days. The pool area is great and offers a lot for kids! What irritated me: I was really happy that there were always fruit and vegetable stands on site, but at 3€/kg for a watermelon, it stops there. The water park, which is of course also very attractive for children, also costs extra and not a little. What bothered me the most was the noise. In the evenings until 11 pm, loud music was heard, volleyball was played, and afterwards, mopeds were driven across the yard.

We were at the campsite in May, so still in the pre-season. It is a huge area with very beautiful and large plots. There are numerous restaurants as well as a supermarket on site. The sanitary facilities are spacious and very clean. Everything naturally comes at a price, so anyone who is watching their money should check the prices first. The staff is extremely friendly. It takes about 25 minutes to bike to Rovinj along a beautiful path by the sea. In the peak season, it is certainly quite crowded here, but we enjoyed it very much. We would love to come back in the pre and post season.

Great campsite, right by the sea, with offerings for children and adults (e.g. aqua aerobics). The beach area is wide, grassy areas with trees providing shade and good access to the water. The sanitary facilities were constantly cleaned; sufficient showers, toilets, and sinks. The wash and laundry area (clothing) is large, clean, and well laid out. Shopping options: well-stocked supermarket. It is constantly tidied up, friendly and helpful staff. The plots are very large and well shaded by pine trees. The value for money is good. Also noteworthy is the proximity to the picturesque town of Rovinj. Next year again!

Positive: - great facilities (playgrounds, pool, beach) - excellent cleanliness of the sanitary facilities - as good as new sanitary facilities - good restaurants - excellently stocked shop Negative: - unkempt superior pitch (weeds, branches, etc.) - mobile phone, mobile internet inadequate, probably due to the number of guests - Wi-Fi poor - flexibility in the restaurant "Lovor Real Grill" (no children's dishes, changes to side dishes only possible for an extra charge) ---> catastrophic

The food, accommodation inside the mobile homes and the pool is Fantastic

Beautiful place. Last week there was plastic waste on the beach as well as brown dirt. But the campsite can’t be blamed for that. For some days there has been no Wi-Fi, supposedly someone is going to repair it. Nothing has been done yet.
