Camping Playa La Bota

👍 Good location near Punta Umbria. Friendly reception. The campsite is aesthetically pleasing in the entrance area. Beach about 200m away. Bread/rolls available at the restaurant. 👎 Restrooms are outdated. NO hot water for flushing available. But the pitches are a disaster - surrounded by high walls on three sides (30-40cm high) and curbs, totally dirty (cigarette butts, bottle caps, cut cable ties, strings etc. etc.). And then over every pitch the iron frames over which plastic tarpaulins are stretched - you feel like you’re in prison 😬 We will definitely NOT be coming back here.

In May 2024, on the first day of my arrival, the side window of my trailer was smashed while I was away. Although the campsite has acknowledged the damage in writing, they gave me a wrong insurance address and insurance number. A registered letter with this address came back as undeliverable. I apparently have to deal with the damage of around 300 €. For me, this place with its operator is a fraud! I can only warn against booking this site.

Shady spots provided by trees or tarps. Very clean (mid-May, not a weekend, few guests). Small supermarket, very nice pool that was unfortunately still closed. Private access to the sea (3 min), very long sandy beach. Right next to the Odiel Nature Reserve where almost every power pole was occupied by nesting storks. No Pincamp discount.
